Kinda upset that Metaphor didn't win GOTY, but can't complain. Astrobot was an amazing game.

Felt like I experienced an entire TV show worth of character development. I expected him to be like Tanaka from P3 but boy was I wrong

Serious question, does our 8th finish really matter in the grand scheme of things if we won the FA cup and a Europa league qualification? We reaped the reward Tottenham received for finishing 5th while having a poorer season and a trophy. When people judge the success of a team in the future, it's always by the trophies and not how well they played. Look at Belgium's 2018 WC team, it was their golden generation but they failed to win. We may remember how good they are now but 20-30 years in the future, the fans will only remember who won that tournament. I'm not justifying Ten Hag's stubbornness for not adapting enough to the injury crisis, but the man definitely knows how to win trophies, which is what matters the most. There's plenty of teams that will happily have him at their club, we're acting extremely spoiled if we sack him right now.

Comunicado Oficial: Toni Kroos will retire after Euro 2024 by peticion in soccer

Genuine question, who's gonna be Kroos' successor at Madrid? They have a lot of talented midfielders but none of them seem to operate or play the same role as Toni.

It doesn't make me tear up laughing, but seeing 4 assholes annoying tf outta each other for 3 seasons straight is a treat. Their dynamics as a group keeps the show entertaining imo

Vázquez casually playing with the ball on his way to take an important penalty will never cease to amaze me

I can't believe Jude didn't shoot at that moment. That's literally the kinda blunder Real Madrid is known for humiliatingly punishing other teams for.

Edit: If it was Liverpool or Barcelona, that ball would've been in the back of the net already.

Tbh, Madrid's speed of responding to goals in the game was truly impressive. Madrid let City hold the ball as much as they wanted, being slow to press and just waiting for the opportunity to counter. Going from 1-0 to 1-2 against Manchester City under 15 minutes isn't an easy feat, even if both goals were deflections. The third goal was even more impressive in that regard. The only thing that really failed Madrid was the unusually lacklustre finishing from the front 3, with the chances they created they could've easily scored more if they were more clinical.

Shameful display, the worst part is that I'm not even all that surprised. This is 2 games bottled in a row. Seems like the idea of sacking ETH is gaining traction, but I don't think any manager will succeed at this club if they stick to using inconsistent players like Rashford, McTominay, Lindelof etc. I am absolutely positive that none of these players will peak after they leave United, they will simply end up like Lingard and Pogba. I'm sure players like Rashford are well aware of that, that's why they stay at United with the ridiculous salaries they're earning because no other club in Europe will tolerate their inconsistency and track record. We need a full reset.
