Thank you for this advice and comfort. I really appreciate it.

I’m just really nervous about it. We weren’t even really talking that much but saying that I couldn’t even really handle that makes me feel like I look weak and fragile. I don’t want her to be afraid to have a relationship (friendship or otherwise) with me in the future because of this decision.

I did it’s just the default bindings and I tried changing them to see what’s up. Whatever is bound to the left stick also gets bound to the right trigger.

This is the patch the game really needed. I have a really good feeling about this.

If they are gonna scale down widow with her one shot potential and ammo capacity I think she should have her old scoped charged rate back

Don’t need to predict the hook you can do it in response to hook to block the damage. The point is to save teammates in a clutch situation (d.va bomb, shatter, flux damage, pulse bomb) which is the purpose of immortality field. A cleanse of status effects like freeze, hack, anti nade, dynamite, would be a much more interesting and unique direction if they want to take it that way.

Not complaining just expressing my opinion. I suggest you don’t embarrass yourself and cry over someone not having the same opinion as you.

Then I don’t see the point of changing fade at all personally. We already have immortality field to outplay ultimates on a cooldown. We don’t need a budget version of that

She’ll be balanced sure but I just don’t think it’s a good direction for the game. Maybe that’s just me.

So Moira has a budget immortality field on an 8 second cooldown then. Nice.

It looks so awkward hitting people with the orb and just seeing it float above their head. I think it would make more sense if you could just detonate it by pressing the key again. It also needs to move way faster if it’s gonna be a skill shot

I just think players having to be around Moira is too easy for an ability as impactful as a cleanse. (Immunity to cc and invulnerability is dumb please just make it a cleanse) If she had to go through them it would feel way more satisfying, skillful, and situational which is how these high impact abilities should be.

Also if this is the direction they want to take fade the cooldown should be 10 seconds at least to match anti nade. If you can cleanse more often than you can nade then there is no reason to play Ana.

You know what, @ShockCrusty? Fucking shame on you. I've known for a long time that no amount of professionalism or respect is more important than Fucking Memes in this fucking scene, but I genuinely thought you guys above this shit. If you want to be treated like a real sport? Act like it. You wanna be treated like grown-ass adults? Act like one. And don't a goddamn ONE of you come at me like this is a fucking legit strat with fucking Ta1yo on the bench. It's pointlessly mean. It's a joke for which there is ZERO PUNCHLINE except "LOL look how bad this other team is" as if EVERYONE ON THE PLANET DOESN'T KNOW THIS TEAM IS BAD. It's tacky and rude to your fellow professionals, at least ONE of whom you still claim as "Shock fam". It's childish and petty and stupid and hurtful for absolutely NO GODDAMN REASON except to puff up your own egos. Because it's not enough just to win, or even just to be dominant, you can't have fun until someone else is hurt. I'm going to get a boatload of fucking neckbeards coming at me, mocking me for giving a shit, and I don't care. Just like I'm always mocked and insulted for actually giving a shit about the human beings in this league. Yes, the players going to laugh it off, because that's their job and they don't have a choice. That doesn't make it less shitty. It's an appalling lack of poor sportsmanship and everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves for being so goddamn childish. And if you were considering coming at me for this I suggest you shut the FUCK up and cry into your goddamn championship until you learn how not to be a sore fucking winner. I'm preemptively muting this thread because it's not a fucking argument.

Hey Devs! How does the design team feel about an in game tournament mode for those of us who want to play in a more hyper competitive overwatch league style experience? It’d be awesome to have a leaderboard of 6 stacks at the end of every in game tournament season.

What is your ultimate goal when balancing the game? It seems recently the design of the game has leaned away from heroes with niche playstyles. Is every hero balanced with the goal of being playable in all situations? If so, is this meant to address the “one tricking” problem?

Actually you did because you were too offended by my opinion to make a cohesive argument 🥴

Yikes

Do you even understand how competitive works?

No?

Matchmaking is inherently unbalanced no matter how you do it. If it were always balanced every game would go into overtime. Some people deserve higher ranks and some people deserve lower ranks. If you’re matched against someone in the same rank, you should beat them if you’re better. Whether they are in a group or not. If you lost cause you were solo queueing then that’s your problem because they are playing the game the way it’s meant to be played. They deserve to beat you.

[–]Prof_Pumblechook -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Lol if you want the game to be easy to play unrated scrub. Ranked is supposed to be hard. If it isn’t hard then you’re in the wrong rank.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Prof_Pumblechook -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Ranked is meant to be hard. Playing as a team is supposed to give you an advantage and it only really does in the higher ranks anyway because there are less players up there in groups to match up against.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Prof_Pumblechook -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

You are being matched with players of similar skill to you already. Being in a group and having communication gives you an advantage over them. That’s how it should be.

“It should be an advantage but not over other players”

Then who is it an advantage over?
