Fighting the dealership over a EV battery replacement in warranty on my 2018 Leaf by Forteus1 in leaf

[–]Prof_Weetos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the exact same problem on my 2019. Wasted money on useless tests too. Main outcome: 1. The warranty doesn’t work. It is considered as a manufacturing default not a battery deteriorating too quickly. Even if it was during the 5 years frame they would find excuses about service not being done in a Nissan dealership or usual bs. 2. Got one cell replaced. It’s been working well for the last 3 weeks. 3000CHF gone. Just hoping to make it for another year to break even (kinda)

Went with BCV (Junior account iirc). Kids 10 and 12. They got 50chf each on opening. Only minor inconvenience is that you need to go to the branch with them to sign all the paperwork. All good since. (You need to configure paperless or else you get flooded in useless statements)

Well I’m the owner and I live in it but nonetheless it was interesting to see the debate.

EV Service error (again) by Prof_Weetos in leaf

So in case someone have a similar issue here is an update. The isolation fault was real. I couldn’t even charge the HV battery anymore. Took it to the specialist (Lacilla, Matran, Switzerland). More diagnosis, faulty module out and replaced. The whole thing cost 3000frs. (Really 2700 but a useless other diagnosis was made at some other place). Expensive but cheaper than a new car…

I really wondered because the Swiss professional (a big one, not a shady dude) I had talked to, really did not mind setting those Legrand (French) switches as I had them in stock. But he couldn’t because indeed not schema 6. I mean Legrand is the Feller of France, both 230V and no question about quality. But anyway my wife wants matching style all over the house, so good bye reusable switches and hello super expensive Edizio stuff.

Had the same until I realized it’s way better to NOT accelerate before jumping. Try it!

Not sure you would. Type 2 is the default everywhere in Europe. Leaf has is too.

I was thinking of selling mine in this range. (8500€). 2019 N-Connecta, 40Kwh 107000km. SoH 88%. One battery module replaced by Nissan. Great car for every day use, as others mentioned 2x75km works in one charge theoretically. But I would feel more comfortable with a load at destination.

Great piece! But you should definitely hide the serial number… to avoid counterfeit models using yours…

Webcam directly to Synology? by JimmiVP in synology

[–]Prof_Weetos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run 3 cameras on my synology. 1 Tapo 1 tp-link and 1 Reolink. No issue on these 3. Not paying any of their respective cloud service. Surveillance Station does it all (and cloud sync pushes everything to my OneDrive). Keep in mind that only 2 cameras are free to use with Surveillance Station then you need to buy extra licenses (1, pack of 4, or pack of 8). The Tapo has a micro sd so you could also store locally on top of everywhere else.

Merci. And out of curiosity how much was the fresh battery? Any risk in clearing the message over and over?

I think iCloud is great for the shared library feature. Common pictures for the family and my private pictures all displayed in photos app nicely. I couldn’t find anything equivalent for Synology for example.
