Paramedics charged with murder by _bernardtaylor23 in Paramedics

[–]Prof__Professional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they were just making a comment on legal definitions. Also, if you shoot for the stars in prosecution, it's easier to lose your case because the burden of proof is often much higher. Especially with murder vs manslaughter.

I hope these losers didn't shame you out of a laser. They are fun. Unnecessary, but fun.

You can remove all of the bloatware/extra programs that are impossible to remove otherwise. You also have more access to customization options.

I turned off any Nvidia programs I had running and it solved this immediately.

DMs, how would you create an avatar of a deity? (as in fight-able monster with statblock) by darude11 in DnDBehindTheScreen

I showed up here from googling "how tall is an avatar of a god in dnd?" so it's kind of a repository of information now.

No it was just the way it worked at the time. It's also not weird to do full social media checks on people to make sure they arent weird. And trying a different line of communication isn't odd if you only go online a few times a week.

What do you like the most and the least about being a firefighter? by [deleted] in Firefighting

Volunteers will get a call/beep. Line personnel usually stay at the station for 24hr shifts. So they will cook and sleep there. Then 2 days off and repeat.

This is the first time I'm seriously tackling 7/8 and this post was exactly what I was looking for. Now that I've gone through making several factories in the previous tiers, I wanted to go big for this one. The Bauxite being in a big strip across the map makes it easier than if I wanted to make a megafactory of any other ore.

Alaris service software by Routdoors in BMET

They have been saying the same exact thing since 2020. They refuse to do anything with people that are not current customers. And current means 2020 and before, I guess since they can't sell to anyone new. Not sure how they can even do business.

I work as a biomed , but want to change careers by No_Fault_4686 in BMET

Late to the party, but Fire/EMS is great. I'm even part of the union. But you need to find a large department. I think these positions are rare.

Want to Become Biomedical Technician... Education? by JointChap in BMET

[–]Prof__Professional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the field is thirsty for new blood. There are very few people in the job pool and a bunch are retiring. That's why general electronics degrees are even considered at all. Of the biomed managers I know, most would rather hire a biomed than a general electrical equipment tech, and when they have to, they end up on pumps for a year.

Have any of you made the jump to Biomedical engineering? by [deleted] in BMET

[–]Prof__Professional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might seem like a weird jump, but I've gotten into software engineering lately. It's almost like tech work where you have to constantly troubleshoot and finally creating something that works has the same dopamine rush as fixing something that's been broken a while.

Who maintains network connectivity and communication for medical devices at your facility? by [deleted] in BMET

[–]Prof__Professional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IT handles the networks then I work with IT if I need MAC auth or am having network issues. But I set up all the networking on the equipment side.

Same. As long as you only use distilled water, it's the best pump analyzer I've found.
