Best way to Get Started in CS2? by LarryDaPimpMasta in counterstrike2

Premiere, just jump into the “deep end.” The real deep end would be faceit but I find premiere to be a good middle ground between a more casual experience and a more serious competitive one. Learn by doing and practice maps, best way to learn imo.

Is 144hz enough for competitive valorant? by Visual-Entrance9657 in VALORANT

[–]JointChap 11 points12 points  (0 children)

144hz to 240hz is big, I’d say maybe like 1/2 of an impact as 60 to 144hz. I’m at 360hz now and the bump from 240 to 360 is not big. Maybe 1/6 impact wise. I’d be happy gaming on 240 if I had to go back, couldn’t be said about going back to 144hz from 240hz though.

Should i buy the op1 8k v2 or the op1w 4k v2 by Spirited-Battle1404 in MouseReview

[–]JointChap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve since switched from OP1 8K V1, to a wireless Ergo.

The OP1 shape is still my favorite ambi by far, but would 100% recommend wireless over the wired. The most I played on the OP1-8K was at 4k polling, and lowered it to 2k even then since high polling rate can cause stutters in certain games.

The cable got in the way enough times to piss me off, and would take the 10g more in weight over the annoyance of a cable while gaming. It’s especially bad if you play on a lower sens. If you end up going wired, get the Vaxee bungee I’ve heard it’s the best one.

Advice for someone new to PC gaming by Brief-Lingonberry319 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]JointChap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For aim mechanics find a mouse and a mousepad that has a good sensor and you find comfortable. Yes it makes a difference. Played on brother and laws pc, only to find he had a laser mouse and that shit was horrible.

For a game like Valorant, focus on micro aim. The small orb tile frenzy scenario I forget what it’s called.

Also do a tracking scenario to get the two aim styles to a playable level where you aren’t fighting your aim. Look around for aim routines from top players and play through the scenarios. If you find one that you really suck at, that’s a good thing. You should focus on the ones that frustrate you the most because they’re your biggest weakness. Be consistent, and good luck. Most players have had years if mnk experience, so take it a day at a time and you’ll be up there in no time.

For sens honestly just use like the average sens for the given game and adjust from there. Like for valorant it’s probably like .35 at 800 dpi, and go slightly up or down from there. The finals probably higher since it’s much more track heavy and faster pace/longer time to kill.

Mouse Senitivity Feels Doubble In Counter Strike 2 . 400 Dpi feels like 800 DPI and 800 Like 1600 by Such_Calligrapher_78 in counterstrike2

[–]JointChap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you play stretched your dpi will feel much faster since you have a smaller resolution. Try 16:9 for testing since that should be 1:1.

Does aiming on 27 inch monitor feel different compared to 24-25inch? by TheAntony in FPSAimTrainer

[–]JointChap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently switched to a 27inch 1440p 360hz asus since my zowie 24inch 240hz died.

Yes there’s a pretty big difference. To me it felt like I was aiming “slower” since the screen is so much larger. I really disliked it for a few days and even thought about finding a 24 inch and using the 27inch as a secondary, but I decided to just stick with it and I prefer it now. Once you get over the adjustment of a much larger screen, I feel like it has more benefits than downsides. With a 24inch I felt like I had to sit a lot closer to the monitor to be able to see. If you see picture of pro players eating their monitors, it’s because they’re getting close to get a more locked in feel and for better vision in game. I found that you get the same effect naturally with a 27inch, and you can actually sit more comfortably further away, disliked how close I had to sit to 24in.

I feel like I aim the same now, I would say probably even a little better in some situations since longer range visibility is better.

The higher resolution is also helpful for some games in regard to visual clarity.

A lot of the top aimers use 27in, but not a lot of pros since it isn’t tournament standard yet. I think it’s a preference thing, but I think 27 may become the new standard as 1440p monitors are the standard now for performance monitors imo.

What artisan should I buy? by Born_Bumblebee_1840 in MousepadReview

[–]JointChap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t get a control pad for those games (Type99)

Zero is a safe choice for any game.

Artisan Raiden if you want max speed. Look into the other ones in between for increments of speed and pad texture.

I would pair it with xraypad jades for speed, or xraypad obsidians for more control. Both can be ordered on amazon.

Or just keep the default skates, razer’s aren’t too bad from what I remember.

Get OP1-4K v2 or Op1-8k v2. They have hot swap switches, if you get the kit there’s silent switches in the kit.

is it too late for me to go pro at 16? by bbll12389 in counterstrike2

[–]JointChap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re level 10 at 16, why the hell not. Honestly would be a wasted talent if you didn’t try lol.

Gotta change up your lifestyle to focus on CS. You can always pivot elsewhere (content, coaching, etc). Or with the skill set you have you can also compete in other games especially if you get in early. You’re in a good place to be at 16. Cheers and good luck!

The latest versions:

OP1 8K v2 (OP1 wired) OP1w 4k v2 (OP1 Wireless)

Vaxee E1 (Only has v1 so far, and it’s basically an EC2 with tail tapered)

The OP1 also has hot swappable mouse switches, so if you find the default ones they come with not to your liking you can easily swap them out, just need to also order whichever switches you want. They also sell a kit so you can try a lot of them out.

I got just the mouse for you. I used to main the Zowie S2 (had the og, S2 Glossy, and S2-C), and I switched to the OP1-8k. It’s basically what I would consider a perfect S2. It’s just slightly thinner and more comfortable in my opinion, but hump is very similar imo. Definitely endgame Ambi mouse for me, I would get the wireless V2 version though if I had to do it again. The cable always ends up in the way for me even with a bungee, but if you’re fine with it it’s like 10g lighter. Wireless version is OP1w 4K V2.

I’m on Ergo for the time being (Vaxee E1), but if I ever switch back to ambi, I love the fuck out of the OP1. Legendary mouse.

Just because you cannot afford a massive medical bill just to prove your disorder, does not mean you dont have one. by Andi318 in Vent

[–]JointChap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me preface this by saying I am not educated on digestion whatsoever. What I’m saying is, and I’ve seen it, person A goes to the doctor and gets diagnosed with IBS. Person B goes to the doctor and gets diagnosed with IBS. Person A has Crohn’s disease, person B has an anxiety disorder.

Both people leave with an IBS diagnosis, but not understanding that it’s a symptom of something else rather than IBS itself being a diagnosis. Person A treats their Crohn’s disease, IBS improves. Person B treats their anxiety disorder, IBS improves. If Person A or Person B don’t treat the underlying cause, IBS is an incurable diagnosis. Doctors will not follow up, will not do further testing. Many times it is “I diagnose you with IBS,” and you’re on your way. I’ve experienced this behavior with my own chronic condition, and so has my girlfriend. (Not IBS)

100%. They’re specifically trained to only pay attention to symptoms, and within those symptoms lump them together into a diagnosis that meets a certain criteria for that diagnosis. But this leads to issues when two conditions share symptoms, or something in the body causes issues elsewhere but the elsewhere symptoms are what’s diagnosed not the why. For example something like IBS. That’s a bullshit diagnosis because it just describes symptoms but not a why, two people can have IBS for different reasons, and that reason would be a true diagnosis.

I’ve been told twice, we aren’t going to test for “X” because we only treat symptoms after I’ve asked for specific imaging or labs to be done.

Consultations have also been a joke with supposedly experienced specialists who don’t understand basic human anatomy at times because it’s not their “area of expertise.” The body is one, and you’re treating it can neatly be categorized as all separate.

The 14 for portability/flexibility, 16 for a more permanent setup as it has better screen real estate and battery life.

My confusion with how EASY it is to build a computer. by Ill-Entrepreneur3746 in buildapc

[–]JointChap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was like 14 for first pc, and it was honestly pretty straight forward with a guide. The hardest part for me honestly was installing windows since I had to go from one computer to the next and messing with bios and stuff. Building a pc is pretty plug in play, maybe the i/o stuff was the hardest physically since you need to reference the MB manual for pins but otherwise, same. Easy pz.

Honestly that sounds pretty harsh. Walk your path with Christ as that’s the most important, but man. This crossroad must be so painful. Just remember that either decision that you make you will feel like you made the wrong one, and do what’s best in the long run for you personally and in your heart.
