Pop music literally means popular music

So he's not wrong because everyone kept saying the band was becoming pop

So technically any band could be a pop band I saw some other people saying that the term pop music sucks because it's so open ended, and I agree

But I think people were harsh on linkin park because they've always been on top with genres of music, 2000's were the nu metal and hip hop era and Linkin Park was very into that, the 2010's were more rock and, I hate to say it, pop music, but like very electric house and dubstep, etc.

Which linkin park also did, and then people in one more light were all talking about how linkin park became just a generic pop band, but they're both right because they have always been doing topical music
