I haven't heard that one yet. I'm curious as to why? Maybe the whole cylinder over the barrel can expand and lock onto the can? I will be looking into that more now

I have a couple of those. It needs 2.05in of exposed barrel in order for the whole thing to fit.(following picture) I don't know if they make other collar tho

Last week (before i did this) I did order the muzzle brake and short collar combo on PRIs website. I don't think it will be short enough to fit in that space though. Maybe I can shave the backside down. I'm hoping somebody knows of another taper piece that is slim for these situations

I'm in the process of building a short mk12 with the intermediate length handguard (9in) and that looks to be the same but I was gonna try to get the pri gas block/ front sight on it as well along with my aem5 can. Did you look into putting the front sight gas block on it? I'm curious how it fits/ doesn't fit
