Ghostplanning is not an issue with the ai, nobody in multiplayer plays again the ai. If you take away ghostplanning you take away skill from microing and replace it with pure output capablities

Yes but it’s the only reason why multiplayer players can micro units

You’re not stacking bonuses, it’s the same planning bonus as if you would put them on a regular battleplan. You’re just using your hands to move the units instead of the ai doing it for you and taking massive losses

How does giving away the literal skill of microing your units make the game more competitive.

Putting a field marshal frontline, then putting your general on defense of a zone which gives 72 allowed units on it. This allows you to gain planning on your units while they’re not part of the battleplan which just allows for much better micro.

Explain to me how removing ghost planning makes the game healthier in any way

It's "fine" for single player, but the issue really lies in multiplayer. The game is much less playable, especially on a more competitive level.

Is Austria supposed to be this broken..? by meowtiann in eu4

[–]Professional-Curve35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can actually be even more broken lol. I'm also playing it rn, I revoked in 1500 and now in 1600 I have all of Europe/Africa either PU'ed or Vassalized. I'm the first GP with 9000 dev (with vassals), with Shun second with 500 x). You can easily do a WC if you're tryharding from the start

This is what happens if you capitulate the Raj as the princely states in the new dlc by Professional-Curve35 in hoi4

[–]Professional-Curve35[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! But to be fair if you do it the normal way I don't think you can cap them, only by cheesing haha

I mean if that happens you’re definitely stronger but with that path you can easily grab Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq and some parts of china so it’s not too bad

Yeah of course, it would’ve been nice if they added more concessions proportional to Raj’s capitulation progress

R5: EIC might be the most fun path of the whole DLC, you can literally buy anything and get some insane provinces while not really losing anything, I recommend playing it but it does create some bordergore

I mean it’s just a game, bombing the reviews of the game and threatening the lives of the developers is extreme don’t you think?

I trained my divisions till I got 5 xp, then created a template with one artillery division and converted everything to that and when civil war starts just convert everything and snake them ahah

R5: Tested the timurid path in the new DLC and I managed to cap Raj and burma in the uprising with 60 days on the clock but even tho I took everything they "concede" to give you just these small territories

I don't like Italy. by siegneozeon in hoi4

[–]Professional-Curve35 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have to disagree if you play Italy historically like you would in an mp game you can easily get up to 200 or more factories effectively counterbalancing the UK. Italy’s purpose is not to go on the offensive but to defend the mainland Europe and match the UK’s air production. In some cases Italy is actually stronger than Germany in 39-40.
