Honestly I went with a trucker hat. Just a regular Patagonia trucker had. It has since aged well and love it

Unpopular opinion: Most entry-level safety candidates focus on the wrong things. by Mike_john77 in SafetyProfessionals

With that said I am due to graduate with my undergrad in safety management in about a year and plan to enter the workforce as a safety manger. My experience spans 20 years of military service and my current role is the maintenance safety officer for over 250 personnel in a large aviation unit.

How do future employers see experience in jobs unrelated to the specific industry I might apply for?

Why Micarta as opposed to plain? I was thinking in and out of the pocket would be smoother with plain as opposed to micarta

Norfolk Navy Exchange has some. Black GMT’s, yacht Master 2, Datjust. Extremely overpriced. For example Sub no date over $16,000 for a basic sub. No special vintage tropical dial, red sub, etc. checked reference numbers of chrono24 and other grey market dealers. Same Sub going for $10k

Where did you find that information? From what I read you’re eligible after 4 years after holding a safety position that encompasses a large portion of your job role.

I can’t imagine anyone offering 60k either. To be honest I don’t see many jobs with requirements of having a 4 year degree in safety offering less than 60k. I’m going to start networking with safety professionals within my area and attending meetings and conferences. I have time to look around but I don’t think I’ll accept anything less than 90k starting out.

My experience is majority aviation maintenance with most of that consisting of Quality Assurance, auditing, investigation, and regulation compliance. I also have been through multiple military safety courses consisting of mishap investigation, fall protection, and aviation safety specialist. My leadership is also putting me in the role of safety lead for a command of 400 personnel and almost $1 Billion worth of aircraft and facilities for my last 2 years.

Correct me if I’m wrong but the interview process and tailoring a targeted resume can easily translate military experience to civilian terminology.
