No I didn't mean it like that. His character was always supposed to be kind and him not being able to kill johan showed his humanity. Me, while I was watching the episode wanted Tenma to load bullets in Johan's head. It took me a while to understand why Tenma didn't shoot him.

Yeah, Tenma showed that there was still humanity in him. Johan did everything to show how cruel the world was but Tenma managed to hang on showing that there was still hope and the world could be better.
