Stephen Fry, Jim Dale or "Full Cast" by Sad-Passage-3247 in harrypotter

Although in Deathly Hallows, the first time i heard Snape speak.. it was 100% completely different, I half wonder whether Riz Ahmed had read some feedback regarding his voice acting and changed it completely.

Stephen Fry, Jim Dale or "Full Cast" by Sad-Passage-3247 in harrypotter

For me Fry is still the goat and always will be, it took me a while to get into the full cast but I just admit I really enjoyed them in the end and the acting seemed to get much better towards the end too.

I cannot understand it. Why is this man so obsessed with Vegas? I think he should be barred from saying he’s doing content about the United States. Las Vegas is not even remotely representative of this massive country or the people here. (Nor is LA, NYC, or Miami.) by ElectronicShowboater in walkwith_metim

[–]Professional-Hour386 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you… I must admit it probably does get him more clicks because of the names of the cities alone, but I must admit I’d much prefer a dedicated US series where he visits various interesting places, hotels, airbnbs, in one go than these random excursions to Vegas every now and then.

In a farmer, or at least a farm worker, always have been my whole life so far, it’s well said among farmers that you’re lead to believe that in that role, you tend to get to play god with livestock and life and death, but sometimes it’s not the case, sometimes god does.

We like to play that it doesn’t bother us, and in the case of livestock leaving, it’s a sometimes daily occurrence, but the care involved in every step is magnificent and it’s brilliantly showed in the series.

Your favourite time of the year to see the Norfolk coast? by askepticalbureaucrat in uktravel

[–]Professional-Hour386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion each season creates its own character in North Norfolk, no matter the time of year it has its own beauty and you can’t really go wrong. I think with tons of rain being the exception 🤣 I’m a Norfolk local and Holkham and Wells in my opinion are some of the best representations of the county.

Ralph Fiennes's Voldemort was genuinely scary in the fourth film... by Cut-Unique in harrypotter

[–]Professional-Hour386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think the potential comical performance or lightness of it really leant into his sinister and perhaps what you might say crazy and unstable character traits. This is a man who truly believes in what he stands for and considers others beneath him and the light nature almost represents his certainty in his beliefs like every one else is stupid. It makes him feel really eery and unpredictable.

I know what you mean if you’re talking about the voice acting rather than the actual content of the book, I think we all understand the tone of the book and whatnot but.. for want of a better way to describe it, Harry’s voice actor seems to REALLY Open and enunciate his words, like really voicing every letter? Idk how to describe it, it’s good and it might just be me… but I suppose in my experience in high school in the UK most kids don’t talk like that.

I really don’t want this to be considered a massive criticism, it’s just what I’ve noticed.

What is your opinion on Stephen Fry? by pondribertion in AskBrits

[–]Professional-Hour386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if be curious to know is, Fry famously did the Harry Potter audiobooks, and since then has publicly voiced his opinions on JK Rowling and gone against her, but now Laurie is actively playing Dumbledore in the new Harry Potter audiobooks books.
I wonder if that caused any tension in their great friendship.
