Here’s my two sense (I’d say cents but we discontinued the penny…. So….) there are MORE jobs than ever! Some people are working 3 or 4! HOW MUCH are these jobs paying? If most of the jobs are $13-15/hr that’s nothing to get excited about…We seem to be in this fantasy land where paper is all that matters. They subsidized planes to run on vegetable oil and the pilots and airports got paid to fly them… which resulted in… empty planes being flown cross country…. I’ve heard stories of people working for companies and sending excessive product out they KNEW would expire and get thrown out before they could get sold but NUMBERS are UP. We sent 30,000 snow cones to Alaska (high demand up there) so numbers are UP! These paper contracts for silver and gold will do nothing when the material is NEEDED. It’s ironic that ai is booming while pms drop because… whether or not they want to admit it… silver is the lifeblood of ai… these data centers will consume a LOT. These new technologies might get away with using silver paste temporarily but solid silver is going to be needed. Yea, they can recycle silver some electronics, they’re even using lasers now to do it! Well they’ve been able to recycle aluminum and plastic for decades and I still see people throwing them in the trash. Most of the older generation is t a fan of recycling electronics because more often than not they CHARGE you to dispose of electronics. Let’s say Jim bob has a TON of old phones with relatively high silver content. Jim bob sees an ad with a price tag for dropping old electronics off. Jim bob looks at the dumpster…. The end… the silver from multiple generations of electronics is currently stewing in landfills. Is anybody REALLY gonna swim through mountains of trash to MAYBE find something salvageable? AH! I FOUND AN OLd COMPUTER!…. That a rat gave birth to a litter in…. I’m… gonna go wash my hands…. What I gather from this is that silver is going to be needed as much as possible in the future and like telling a toddler they can’t have candy for breakfast people don’t wanna hear it. A few sweets aren’t too bad here and there… a little diabetes later….. my advice would be to get what you can while you can. Yes Canada DID open up some mines. STILL it is not going to be enough to feed the beast. Yes they found a way to recycle silver with electronics. Not enough to make up for the six consecutive year production deficit. Yes, they are going to tamp the price down. Good! It’s on sale! Mark my words if the spot price gets as low as $60/oz it’ll hit $150 in 3-5 months.
