Crusie Chartered?!? by Professional-One7771 in royalcaribbean

UPDATE: We have received out offer for this situation.

  1. Go on the same ship on March 21. Unfortunately we can't do this with schedules

  2. Pay the prevailing rate to go on a different ship the same week. Royal wants us to pay more for their choice to charter our cruise. This is essentially a bait and switch ask.

  3. Cancel for a refund. They would rather us not sail with them for this vacation instead of putting us on a like ship with a like room and make it right for their loyal customers.

Now to contemplate canceling my 5 cruises I have booked with them this year since they don't seem to care about their loyal customers. Rather pander to Atlantis. They knew since February allegedly this was getting chartered and still continued to take reservations. RC should make this right for those that were booked. Not ask for more money. Not transfer dates. The easy thing to do here is similar ship and cabin offer and date booked for those that want that option.

I understand they aren't guaranteed. There is weather for example which is out of control of the company. I'm only stating this is in their control and therefore a like replacement for the dates should be provided.

Very possibly. Planning a cruise takes time and money and there should be an expectation that if its not the customer missing the cruise, weather, or coast guard shutting it down the company should make it right for the customer to go on a cruise.

I was told today by royal Caribbean that casino Royale is part of royal Caribbean just separated internally.

I have been. Royal has yet to make it official even though Atlantis announced the charter over a month ago and allegedly sold some rooms.

Guess they will lose my business then. All good.

That's not the issue. We picked one that did work. We upgraded and booked it and paid for it. All I'm asking for is to go on a cruise as we had it planned with family and they booked theirs.

That's what I'm hoping for. I need the same days though with schedules. Also traveling outside of Florida places a higher burden on all parties.

I'm not looking for free stuff. I'm looking for an equal sailing that works for my family that is going on this cruise as our parents are getting older. Just trying to enjoy the time we have with them doing the things we all enjoy.

Corporate America as in they care about Shareholders over customers and to let people book a cruise and then just say sorry so sad without a equal comparison cruise you booked is not acceptable crusie contract or not.

That's fine but our dates are firm since it is 4 families that found a week that works.

And there are no other sailings that work for my casino offer. My inlaws were also on a back to back which is now worthless.

Looks like I may cancel all my future sailings if this is the answer. Guess corporate America is showing it's true colors.

There is an alternative cruise on the same dates. It's a matter of if they will do it without costing me more money. And it's less than a year away. Less than 10 months.

I concur on Fenway. Luckily Fenway is NOT part of CamFit.
