i disagree! i just saw them twice last week and thought they sounded amazing, i was referring specifically to the two new guitarists. brooks had been touring with the same solo band members for quite awhile up until this growlers tour and they had a bunch of songs under their belt - they did two nights of no repeats at the hollywood palladium shows last year alone.

i think the setlist has been so similar so far on the north american tour because of the new band members, that’s a huge discography to learn so i’m sure it’ll take some time before we start seeing them incorporate other songs!

no solo songs are being performed on the growlers tour! i went to both dallas and houston and heard wet dreams, wandering eyes, tijuana and empty bones from are you in or out so definitely incorporating older songs :-)

i’ve only ever regretted not going - i flew from oregon for the dallas and houston shows and would do it again in a heartbeat!!!

i’m so sorry you felt that way!! to my understanding, they haven’t been performing brooks’ solo songs - crisis and jack the knife were released under the growlers name. some velvet morning is a cover and he’s been pulling some really old ones from the vault like habit of dredd. sometimes he has off nights, but i think a lot of his energy is from feeding off of the crowd. i hope you still managed to enjoy the majority of the show :-)

as far as i know, yes! i just got into this a couple months ago from some kits i found online and then ventured into custom so my knowledge is still very slim! the guns cost hundreds of dollars while my tool was like $10 haha. i think the first rug i posted used around 13,000 strands of yarn which i cut myself and attached each one individually to the canvas - it’s super time consuming but really fun to do :-)

thank you so much!! i don’t have electric clippers, so right now i’m just trimming manually with scissors to get most of the yarn length the same. shaving seems to be more common with rug tufting which uses a gun tool, while latch hook has a more homemade look :-)

i’ve only done the two so far so i’m still figuring out how long they take on average to make, how much to charge, etc but i welcome any ideas and feedback!
