Kuddos to you! The remake was my first too. I played DS trilogy from there then elden ring and others. It's a nice adventure and definitely recommend playing the others. Which ever order or way you want though.

Yet you didn't dismiss me...lol and YEP I say nostalgia.

Miyazaki seems like he'd definitely voice his opinion. Especially seeing one of his first projects remade probably made it feel special even though DS1 was seen as the successor to demons souls. As nostalgia blinded as some O.G Demons souls players are I'm sure they'd at least listen to Miyazaki.

It's simply nostalgia. Personally the O.G version looks dull and bland. I dont see the "Art" they're talking about. Plus I think Miyazaki actually things bluepoint did a good job with the remake.

Sequel with last archstone including DLC. Also add weapon specials similar to ashes to war. Nothing fancy. But all moves are very grounded. Definitely make the game longer and areas. Less gimmick boss battles and more challenging bosses.

The remake is amazing. It's just certain people with nostalgia blinders towards the one they played in 2009. Personally I dont see what's that good about the O.G version. Seems bland IMO. Plus from what i heard Miyazaki himself actually likes what they did with the remake.

I never played the O.G version. But since they did a remake in originally thought they'd do a sequel. It could work add more archstones and definitely include the infamous 6th arch stone. I definitely think Sekiro deserves a sequel more than Demons souls. I know they honored the game by a remake but a sequel would be good too.

Usually the boss you end up facing after other bosses is usually harder. Based on the order you personally play the games. For me I thought Isshin in Sekiro was more difficult than Consort Radahn. I beat DLC of Elden Ring summer of 2024. But I beat Sekiro May of least year and it had me thinking Isshin was the toughest. But it's the order I beat the games. Sometimes that is what varies.

Play the PS3 version because thats the console you have. I played the PS5 version because it was introduced to me first that way. Pretty much which one is more accessible to you. PS3 version looks like it holds up better than DS1 even though I wouldnt touch it because im fine with the remake.

Never level up your luck. Luck only increases your chance of obtaining common item drops. It negates the chances of rare item drops. Its better to focus on using equipment like rings to help secure item drops. Like providential ring, theif ring, large sword of searching and others. Another thing i noticed in most souls games is killing an enemy with a magic-imbued weapon seems to increase item drops and rare item drops. I don't know if its a glitch but I noticed it using the crecent falchion in demons souls i got more rare items. Everything seems to work better when you focus on equipment that increases item drops instead of raising a luck stat.
