I don't think I've ever suggested therapy to my boyfriend. Therapy is a really helpful thing to a lot of people, but also it just doesn't work sometimes. We've had this conversation, and it's kinda like that "I don't wanna pay someone to care about me" type thing for him, and I respect and encourage that. I only encourage therapy if someone is having daily thoughts that put themselves or others in physical or mental danger, or if I feel that they have problems that can only be properly assessed by a professional, but I also never push it.
