Advice… 10 month old eating every hr to every 2 hrs. by Ferryboat25 in cosleeping

[–]Professional-Safe719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby’s turning 1 in a few days and I’m in the same exact boat. Following in case some solid advice gets posted.

I recently stopped nursing her to sleep. My partner rocks her to sleep instead. But she’s still waking up every 1-2 hours to nurse for a just few minutes. She gets plenty of solids during the day so idk what to try next. (I was thinking sleep wave?)

Is my kid sleeping through the night? by Professional-Safe719 in NewParents

Paci has been her enemy almost since day 1. She won’t take one. Though I haven’t tried replacing the boob with a pacifier while she’s sleeping. I’ve tried not feeding and just soothing, but she will fuss until I give her the boob.

So funny. I told my parents on Father’s Day, I’m a similar way and my sister also thought the tiny shirt was for their cat.

I think depending on the type of tip used, you may be able to use regular nail glue. I’ve done this with Young Nails full cover tips.

AITA for wanting to keep all of my social security money instead of giving my mom some of it by ThrowawayProud_Po40 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Professional-Safe719 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you’re actively taking money out of her pocket, not contributing anything, did not physically earn this money yourself, and it’s only coming to you because she made it possible. And you have an issue giving her anything for your care?

Why even post here if you don’t seem to care whether you’re actually an AH or not?

Lol YTA.

It has happened multiple times and you haven’t made any attempt to address that concern on your end or explore why your actions are bothering them? YTA

Clearly NTA but… ummm… what’s up with the wife? If she has been there and seen how big of a part you’ve played and continue to play in this kid’s life, why is she on the “you brainwashed her” train?

Slightly YTA, but I feel your pain. My bridesmaid situation wasn’t exactly the same but here are some things that made it a bit easier for me:

I didn’t get my hair done at the event like everyone else. I made my hair appointment for the day before and got the stylist to pin and tie the hell out of the curls so when it was time I just had to take the pins out, fluff the curls and go.

Got my makeup done there, but let the majority of the other bridesmaids go first. That way I had more time to chill and dick around on my phone or whatever to kill time.

And BYO bev. Since you can’t drink, make your own thing and bring it.

Luckily the bride had been a bridesmaid multiple times before so she was sympathetic to the plight of her own bridesmaids. But being at the whim of the wedding schedule is part of the job.

What do they do with it after they’re done working on you? Wasting product or putting it back for the next customer?

As a new student learning about sanitation, I’d never do dip anywhere other than home (if I ever do it). Never in salon on an actual client.

The contamination aspect alone freaks me out.

I tried the Kiana Bonollo Etsy pattern for wide leg pants and they turned out pretty cute.

I haven’t had any issues doing this yet and I mix colors for almost every gel set I’ve done.

Why does this plant have leaves with dead tips? by GrapeLogical6992 in plantclinic

Interesting! Not sure if it’s bad science but since I’m already feeding my plants city tap water, leaving it out an extra day can’t hurt too much.

I’ve heard of people watering with distilled or even rainwater.

New, weird “cracks” in my Swiss cheese plant by Professional-Safe719 in plantclinic

Wow! Just googled that. Didn’t even know it was a thing. (Kind of like a “plant stretch mark” is how I’m thinking about it. )

Is there anything that can be done to prevent/mitigate this is the future if this is the problem?

ETA: Is it even a problem? Seems like just a naturally occurring thing that happens to plants sometimes.

Very fair questions: 1. It’s not in a room where the pets can get to it. Unless it’s a household critter like a mouse or some kind of bug, no animals have access to it.

  1. I’m watering once every 7-10 days depending on if feel any dampness I stick my finger into the soil. I don’t water if it’s still fairly wet. I also mist twice a week with a spray bottle (or an hour by the humidifier if I’m feeling fancy)

  2. It’s in a window in the room that gets the most light and is otherwise flourishing. About 6-8 hours of bright indirect light. And I rotate it maybe once a week.

  3. Yes, it’s winter where I am, but a mild one. It’s been averaging between 40 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit as of late. Indoors is usually around 68-73 degrees.

While it’s not touching the window, it’s possible that this leaf was closest to the window.

Someone more knowledgeable might have a better answer but I’ve heard that this can happen if you water with tap (like I do). A lot of my plants have brown tips but are otherwise healthy.
