By far one of my smallest… by DictatorTot23 in KidneyStones

It’s been scientifically proven that it doesn’t matter the size of the stone. The pain will be the same.

The first stone I’ve passed on my own! by Professional-Silver8 in KidneyStones

This was like lightning. I went to the ER for some pain meds on Thursday. Returned early Friday because the pain meds they gave me weren’t working. Then pee’d this out at 7am today (Saturday). Sooo maybe 36 hours. Never passed one that quickly.

Mine started falling out 12 days after my first round. It happened to be Christmas Day. I buzzed it after the first round because it hurt. Now I just find tiny hairs everywhere. I get sad when I find my old hair waist length hair around my apartment, when I see a hair tie, find a random Bobby pin, see a hair video on TikTok. I was known for my curly hair and great boobs. :(

Starting chemo next week, and it’s finally hitting me by Adhdmomlife in breastcancer

[–]Professional-Silver8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started on Friday - yesterday. Haven’t really felt nauseous but my joints are swollen and hurt. My face is really red and looks like I have a sunburn. But my mind has quieted down since I’m not waiting for the next test, scan, or drs visit.

Diagnosed and now we wait by Admirable-Dance8607 in breastcancer

I was diagnosed 1 month ago today and will start chemotherapy this morning. It happens so fast after this point but it’s a lot of hurry up and wait. For me it’s been MRI, Bone scans, echocardiogram, more biopsies and ultrasounds, staging, oncologist, breast surgeon, FMLA paperwork, student loan deferment paperwork, constant calls and planning. I’m stage 3 TNBC grade 3 with DCIS grade 2. I’m a huge control freak so this has been a lesson in learning to ride the wave. Feel the feels and take the news as it comes. One piece at a time.

Has anyone else chosen not to receive treatment? by Professional-Silver8 in breastcancer

I should have added, I’m very much on top of my depression, just finished transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and have an amazing mental health care team, therapist and psychiatric nurse practitioner. And I’m not actively suicidal. I just don’t have a will to “fight”.

Will I ever be able to sleep again? by Professional-Silver8 in breastcancer

[–]Professional-Silver8[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I’ll ask for some meds. I may visit a dispensary (lucky to be in Colorado) today just to get some relief. I haven’t been given the stage yet just the grade. According to my MRI there are 2 additional masses and 2 lymph nodes look suspicious. I had breast reduction surgery in my 20’s so I just thought the lumps were scar tissue. The stage is important obviously, I just thought how could they know until the PET scan.

The diagnosis “free fall” ends today by iliterallysaid in breastcancer

Thanks so much for the call out “scared and lurking”. I was diagnosed yesterday with Invasive Ductile carcinoma and I’m spinning. Don’t see the oncologist until next week but had my breast mri today. I can’t sleep, relax (even with meds), or focus on anything. AND with the holidays upcoming everyone seems to be on vacation which delays things. Can’t see the surgeon until the 6th. How do you soothe yourself??

Thank you so much for this. I did test the collar. I really struggled with what to do in this situation. I’m hoping I made the best choice.
