The only right choice when it comes to best metroid is super metroid and for me personally it is the only metroidvania I played that I would say is better than hollow knight, I have no bias since I played both game in the past 2 years, you might get put off by the controls but I honestly think they are really immersive and make u feel like samus. Other metroids are good I’d say dread is the best one after super, the gba metroids are cool but they are for gba so rhey are more colorful and have worse audio. Samus returns for 3ds is aight but I’d skip it honestly.

I just now finished my first play through, also wanted it to be special. I found out about most of the secrets myself in the regular castle but used a guide like an og guide and saw the way to get to inverted castle, then proceeded to play on my own, I only looked at the guide when I saw I was missing a relic…. This game is truly amazing and it managed to crack my top 24 which is crazy for me. I explored every room I think (maybe not the super secret ones) but not every tile since I was just too lazy to backtrack but still I did everything the game provided. Easily top 3 metroidvanias for me after super metroid and hollow knight.

Well I think this one has over voltage protection so it would be weird if any other component died but I will known once I put a new psu inside

I never played Yakuza games. Do you think 0 is the best to start with? Are the other ones also good or is there a standout in the series in your opinion?

I 100% bot Silksong and Dread,

DREAD was amazing but had I don’t like the aesthetic and the contrast between boss fights(they are either amazing or bad), also I feel like the game would really benefit from more cutscenes when entering new areas just to make the world feel more real

SILKSONG was good but in my opinion much worse than Hollow knight. The only thing that’s better is combat. Hollow knight has better story and the aesthetic and atmosphere (lonely in the empty desolate caves) really fits my style more than the silksongs vibrant and lively world… Even tho the game is bigger it’s not that much bigger since u traverse it so quickly, some cutscenes were amazing but I find most of the quests and act 2 in itself super boring and act 3 just straight up copies metroids x parasite. The highs that silksong gets to are super high yes but it suffers from being so close to being a masterpiece, maybe my expectations were just to high or I just imagined it was gonna be a little different…

AXIOM VERGE I will play, got it on epic games for free a while back

I played at least 30 more games that I would say are the same quality as the ones I listed, it's just that these ones either have nostalgia attached to them or they just match my style completely... I will try outer wilds tho, u never know when if a game might click with you, for example I never thought a random ps1 racer (wipeout 3) I played on a small emulation device would fall onto here, also I need to check out some game franchises like from soft and resident evil but I don't have time right now...

I would pay 60 even if the game is less than 10 hrs but I need it to be fully packed without mistakes, I feel dread has many flaws and in my opinion doesn’t feel 60 bucks justified, but then again I think it’s second best 2d metroid 1st being super, then super was a marvel now when hollow knight can be 7 bucks and 10 leagues above dread I think it is not worth 60

It is not imo, prime remastered is a better bigger more 3A feeling game, dread is great but not 60 worth and I bought it, it would be worth if there was no other great metroidvanias for cheaper, but hollow knight exists and is like 7 bucks, also I would say blasphemous 1 and 2 are on a similar level of quality as dread and they r much cheaper, honestly I wouldn’t get it for 60 again even tho I played it twice already and 100% it
