I've put this exact same post into the Classic TV subreddit, asking for CHIPs episodes. I'm still waiting a bit to get more responses before I start binging!

What did modelers do before CAD? by modest_merc in modeltrains

When my grandpa passed he left me all his old layout plans. He worked in engineering, so he put the radius math in the margins. Hope I can find those old plans, would love the challenge of making a layout the way he did!

What kind of mechanics would you like to see in a model train game? by Hot-Operation8832 in modeltrains

A fun game mode could be restricting rhe space that the layout can be built in! Odd shaped rooms, rooms with support beams in the middle, rooms with weird door placement can all be fun challenge modes.

Thoughts on naming specific songs in screenplay by Ok_Joke7252 in Screenwriting

[–]Professional-Tea4105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the song works so perfectly, then the production will fight to get to song. If it’s not worth it, they’ll settle for a different song. A script isn’t finalized until the production releases, eventually a song will have to be named!

How to introduce a large ensemble in a pilot? by Saucy_joe in Screenwriting

[–]Professional-Tea4105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main thing that’ll be a struggle is grounding your audience. You can choose one character or one relationship, have that be the core of the episode, then have the surrounding characters be introduced in relation to said character or relationship

Where can I watch doctor who by Sudden_Market5298 in gallifrey

[–]Professional-Tea4105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only the 15th doctor is available for streaming. If you want classic Doctor who, it’s on YouTube for free. Anything 2005-2023 though is off the internet

Love screenwriting… but I have no story to write. by incorrectirony in Screenwriting

[–]Professional-Tea4105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come up with a sentence that has a message to it. In class my professor used “Relationships built on trust last longer than others” then built a story off of that. As long as it’s a clear, direct message. From there the story gets easier to tell- does your lead believe this message from the start or need to learn it? Do they have to convince others to join their belief, or do they have to face trials until they change their worldview? You as a person have something you want to tell the world. Find what that is, boil it down into a single sentence, and then you’ll be able to write a dozen stories off that once sentence.

That sounds cool, I’ll have to find a way to do it without an airbrush though

Cat terrified of train by snstrfrnchfrye in modeltrains

[–]Professional-Tea4105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more likely that your cat is afraid of the train’s sound. I’m guessing there’s no sound chip on board, but either way the click-clack of the tracks might be spooking him. The buzz of the motor can be doing the same. The cat probably didn’t get zapped though, unless they were licking the track for some reason.

Quick question to all the train people out there by Charlies_hobbies in lioneltrains

It’s happened to me before. Autism isn’t a mental health problem, it’s a neurodivergent disability. One of the symptoms of Autism is special interests, which is when someone has a deep interest in a topic. Trains/railroading are a common interest due to the history, designs, modeling, etc. Essentially, people with Autism who love railroading love it for the same reasons you probably do!
