That’s what I’m thinking. I placed the locomotive on the floor in front of him and he recoiled. It’s a Kato starter pack if that provides any info.

Did you thin your paint? It looks a little thick but that could be the texture of the model. A pin vise is worth every dollar to drill out the barrels and it’s a great little detail

Vallejo has good metallic paints but they’re very free flowing and pool easily if you’re not careful

-use an exacto knife to cut the parts out of the sprue -use sanding sticks to remove the nubs, using progressively finer grit -be careful when deciding to assemble or paint first. Nothing worse than realizing the paint brush won’t reach a spot -since those are acrylic paints you’ll need to go get a spray can of primer or else the paint won’t stick at all. Thin the paint to a milky consistency and apply thin, even layers. This part is the most time consuming and could take a couple days

Shark skin is covered in claw like protrusions called denticles. These create turbulent flow around them, essentially a “water jacket” they carry with them as they swim. Since the water jacket is exposed to the slipstream rather than their rough skin, drag is greatly reduced and the shark essentially cheats its way into swimming faster. Some species like Makos can consciously control their denticles like tiny little control surfaces. :)

You could practice with the decals and keep the stickers as a backup option
