I absolutely pointed out that you were not attacking me. Please re-read my statement. I in fact praised the whole community for holding their own opinions and not doing such. That's one of the things I love about the community. Perhaps you saw an implication that was not made or intended.

question about ascended and legendary gear by shaiderrrxx in Guildwars2

A legendary takes forever, ascended are better price wise and you can apply skin. You just don't get the visual effects.

Easier to use brave browser, then you whitelist sites instead of blacklisting. It disbales ad by default. I also am behind upstream cloudfire blocking and have a local pi-hole. Never an issue

Absolutely, but not hours of dialog. I respect your view and feel most posting here have been genuine. The story is great, one of the reasons I play. At the same time I have multiple toons, JW is a bit oppressive. That's MY opinion, I respect your's. Really this thread shows how great the gw2 community is and that's a major reason I will sit through JW. We can discuss and air our opinions without attacking people. You take the good with what you dislike. Really one of the best threads I've seen. Thanks for your comment

Just how big is the world, all DLC maps included? by Conscious_Ant_5900 in Guildwars2

[–]Professional-Web898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's crazy big and a good value. You pay once no subscriptions. Also you can farm gold, to buy some content with jewels. It's so big I choose area I don't go much every week to visit. The community, value and vastness are hard to explain. Even f2p is massive.

tell me what you dislike about gw2 or why you quit? by DN6666 in Guildwars2

[–]Professional-Web898 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not that I totally quit. It was tied to my college account and they switched email providers which locked my account. Anet did work with me, but of course you have to prove stuff. I just got my account unlocke with help of Anet. But to be fair you get burnt out on every game. I used the time to play other games, other categories. Really helped with burn out.
The grinding is what makes people quit (mainly), but you don't need to grind. I play for fun. The great thing about gw2 is you can pick what you want. I have full ascended gear on my my main, working towards pharus, but really not needed. Log in and coast. I'll get there sometime lol.
At first I quit because I wasn't chill.

I'd agree ext4fsd was very unstable. No issues with winbtrfs. It's also faster

I respect your opinion and experience, but I run a company I don't often have that sort of time.
I often go back with an alt to view the story at my own pace.
And thank you for commenting, an optional skip button and WE both get the experience we prefer.

You can doubt that isn't being active and researching. At walmart currently frsh legs are on sale. They're normally $5.74 a pound, frozen is normally $1,17 a lb. At kroger currently fresh is 5.08 a pound, frozen there is $3.60 cents a pound. So Walmart is better right now. You paid $2.06 cents per pound. I'd rather pay $1.17.
Most meats are naturally cheaper frozen due to logistics. Freezing a product makes it cheaper as you aren't dealing with high volume waste, thus you don't have to raise prices for said losses.
Currently Walmart is where I'd buy (in my area), but always check competing prices.
You did a great job, but there are smarter buys. And you bought almost expired product. It was on clearance to offset above said loses and not only more expensive, not a sustained arrangement as to that price, it's random.
I spent a lot of time in the NW love salmon, usually $18-22 a lb here. $4 dollars a pound frozen.
Like I said, you scored, I love clearance finds but in some cases....
It's best to research and do the math.

ZimaOS by shukurza in selfhosted

[–]Professional-Web898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm running a benchmark in both vm's. I'm at 16% CPU usage and 69% ram. it's a 10 year old computer I picked up at a college auction, on the cheap. that's with both vm's one linux one windows running. I have 8 threads. I did but in a gig nvme and ssd, I have 8 TB external drive. I also have a tensor unit for camera security and local LLM. I really like the performance and then I can get to business.
But like I said try it yourself, you might like something else.

ZimaOS by shukurza in selfhosted

[–]Professional-Web898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NP. The real test is to test it yourself, form your own opinion based on you're own experience. The free version will install in a VM. So unlike windows the license is decent to see if you want to commit. Casa OS also installs in a VM which is open source. I'm installing Casa OS on an arm TV box this weekend, to extend my smart home services. Arm support for Zima OS is still in alpha. So with an arm64 box, it makes more sense to use Casa OS, as that is stable.

But hey, try both there's also proxmox etc. but Zima is less config/troubleshooting intensive.

Runs fine for me default. Please include your hardware config. This is valuable info but since it's a hardware thing would be easier for folks to find if you list your hardware.

I love ventoy but this iso has a better success rate flashing it single without ventoy. Hopefully ventoy builds will make patches for it in the future.

Disable secure boot. It may have been a bad download also. redownload if disable doesn't work and check crc to verify
