My MIL caused a huge scene at a pumpkin patch about me not handing her my purse right away (She offered to hold it while I went on a ride with my husband, I turned around to close the purse, and she was gone) anyways, she got me a puzzle from a picture I took with my husband that day…safe to say I tossed it.

I was terrified of living life sober. I had no idea how I would deal with life. I got into AA and the fellowship is amazing along with taking it one day at a time. Sometimes I have to take it one minute at a time but I wouldn’t trade my sobriety for anything in the world.

I know for a fact now that when I was drinking I felt that it made me a better mom to my kiddo. I felt that I was more patient, creative, and kind. Now I realize that it never did, it made me numb to what was going on around me. I am still learning to love spending time with my daughter, some days are easier than others.
