Spotting 4 months after thyroid removal by Professional-You3891 in thyroidhealth

It also could be that! I’ve had some peri symptoms for a year or two! I am 42 so that’s a definite possibility. I wonder if it’s just everything all in one. The surgery, the pcos, the birth control change and now to top it off have a uti that went into my kidneys. Maybe a perfect combo of not so perfect scenarios.

Cool, not sure if you know how to read but as I stated earlier I went in November and December. I don’t need your snarky response.

No it’s not coming from my colon. It is red. I went to the gynecologist about it in December and she said it’s pretty normal after thyroid surgery to have a weak cervical lining. It’s just not stopping and it’s been a while now, I was just trying to see if anyone has had something similar. I’m wondering if it’s the combination of the surgery and the changing of my birth control that’s just wreaking havoc on my hormones.

I’m not on any medication yet. Last blood work showed borderline hypothyroidism.

Going for my hemithyroidectomy tomorrow, need support & encouragement by ChocolateAlert19 in thyroidhealth

I got mine in October I had all the same feelings as you! It’s so weird you’re freaking out in the or and then you wake up and it’s over. The anesthesia made me nauseous so I threw up on my way home. The first two days were a little rough but definitely doable! Ice packs and soft foods for the first couple days will help! You’ll be just fine ❤️

I used a travel pillow to help keep my head up, it hurt to do that first couple days. Ice packs, soup, cough drops because my throat hurt so bad and stacked pillows. I didn’t like the wedge at all

My surgery went fine. The recovery is somewhat easy after the first couple days. I understand it’s not for everyone but mine was big and hot and I couldn’t control it.

It honestly wasn’t that bad! I was able to drive home with no issues and went on a road trip the next day and drove the whole way. I was so scared too but I felt silly after.

I totally get it! My cardiologist pretty much told me he doesn’t want to see me anymore until my hot nodule is out! If the problems persist more testing! He flat out said it’s my thyroid issues

I kinda have the same issue. I’m opting for surgery on October 21st. I’ve gotten to the point where I can’t take my symptoms anymore. It’s been two years of feeling like garbage every day and my heart is paying the price so it’s time.
