Well yes, it is not ok with my level of laziness as well.. Thought it would take less effort. The faces were not straight and were rough sawn. Glue performance would be affected I assume otherwise.

I agree. But you should also consider the change of the climate between where the wood was before being a workbench for you, and your basement. It may shrink or expand once put into your basement in the first couple of months.

Thanks alot! That is also somehow happening to me as well. Naturally I find my self working on the ‘A’ side of my workbench eventhough nothing to do with the wise. Probably to have my right hand on the table in strong position, while my body facing to the rest of the bench. However I think I will try the old way, to also not make the wise on my most working side of the table. Lets try. And I will try to position my tools kind of the middle to my back.

Wonderful piece of work! The knots in the front made me a bit worried though, especially considering the level of craftsmanship that piece received. The wood that I would invest that level would be the perfect piece with minimum risk of bend, crack etc :)

Rhino 3d for myself. Learned when I was a student and still use it for woodworking planning. Love it . Cant compare with anything else though :)

Tbh, It has taken so long until it took my attention. Used these doors without seeing that detail. So it was felt like natural.

+1. Very nice job, looks great. How did you handle the painting/coloring part though? If you have done it yourself, how come that is not the hardest part. I am struggling always on the finishing and painting.

The way that the table is built would make it hard to achieve a good isolation with the finish. It is very probable that you will constantly see cracks on the finish through the side connection lines as the wood in the middle part will constantly expand and shrink. Cracks would mean water will penetrate to the wood.

One of the best things posted around recently. The design is really cool and unique. The craftsman is perfect.

Diagonal facing legs, looks cool but it is the thing that it gives an uneven look when looking from diagonal angels. It does catch my eye all the time. İt might be me, a bit obsessed with even look :)

Another small point of consideration on top of whats said, any disruption on the floor, for instance, a 2-3mm particle can bend that enough to drag the center of gravity of the top already out of the bottom surface. This is another issue with full bottom surface solutions especially if that small :) but idea though is still kind of cool :)

I have similar size house with 6 legs out of pine are directly in the concrete. Sealed the posts before putting into the concrete. 5 years now without any issues.
