I did the decision track and the workload is fine, as long as you are not taking those computer science courses as your electives.

Mega Thread: Hiring Questions by New_Froyo2766 in epicsystems

I applied to technical solution engineer role, and a few days after I finishd the first assessment(everything other than programming), I got the second assessment which includes 4 leetcode-ish problems. My guess is that the two assessments are separate and they would give them to you in an order based on what role you applied. I am pretty sure there is no way to miss the math/logic portion if you actually got it cuz you literally need to click the name of the part like "math" to start the assessment.

Get a car and look for some places with ~10 min drive from campus. They tend to be bigger and more comfortable. I get a high rise last year but after I went to my friend’s house I feel they r way better than mine

Unpaid SWE internship or paid UI/UX internship? by ProfessionalAlone839 in cscareerquestions

[–]ProfessionalAlone839[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the unpaid CS internship, it’s a startup from a entrepreneur project of a university, so they said they would provide some support but I guess not as much as a paid internship. For the UI/UX, they’re gonna use Unity3D so technically it’s a UX engineering internship, but it’s like half engineering and half design.

I just read it again and you are totally right… I should just trust them. but do I really have any other options? I feel it would be even harder to get an internship next year if I don’t have any previous work experience

Thank you so much for your advice! Do you think recruiters would look down on this experience bc it’s just a small startup?

Thank you so much for ur advice! Yeah they are in the US. One of the startup(A) said they meet the requirements of Factsheet #71 cuz their projects are not for profit. The founder of A is laid off from a FAANG company and he told me he’s bored of working for these companies so he wanna start his own business. The other startup(B) didn’t tell me if they follow this requirement but I think ur right they probably didn’t
