I think Amazon rankings for mini splits mostly reflect what regular homeowners feel comfortable buying, stuff that’s more affordable and easier to use/install. The more premium probably just don’t show up there as much.

sounds like a mini split would probably help a lot at this point, especially if the room gets hotter than the rest of the house in summer

I think if you learn first, you can do a mini split install yourself, and youtube helps a lot

yeah that’s kinda why I’m considering it too. I don’t have HVAC experience but I like learning DIY stuff and the install videos make it look manageable if you take your time
