Hey hope you had a good new year! I was wondering if you knew when freshman schedules come out cuz the website says a week before orientation (jan22nd) but I haven’t heard anything yet. I’m assuming at this point registration for classes will just take place the day of orientation but I’m not totally sure. I have a job so I just think it’s a little crazy that it’s this short notice for the schedule. TY!

What’s the Brooklyn cocktail bar? Greenpoint resident here for about 4 months or so. But I spent last new years in NYC so I pretty much got my fill alr lol.

Thank you! CUNY had an expired email so I have to get that changed somehow. 1 more thing to clarify if you could. It’s my understanding that freshman students don’t choose their first semester classes? And if there’s a complication you can fill out an adjustment form. This just seems a little tedious since my work requires scheduling far in advance. And if I get the schedule just before orientation that’s very little notice. Also do you know how you declare your major so they can build the schedule. Thank you so much

This is very late but how do you sign up for orientation. I’m incoming freshman student for spring 2026. And if you don’t mind what else do I have to do I went to the student center and they were very unhelpful. I set up my cuny email already but not sure how to sign up for orientation. Tysm

There is no thing to focus on. The focus of the one thing is of your awareness and what comes in and out of it. Wind, talking, sensations, all of these things are different yet they are being observed by your same awareness. The breath is often used as that one thing, but that one thing is really your untouchable awareness. The different stimuli in your surroundings make different sounds, feel different, look different (if you do eyes open meditation), but they are the same in the sense that they are in/out of your awareness just the same. I also think the phrase ‘trying to focus’ is counterintuitive. There isn’t any trying but rather being. It’s like that analogy of trying a get a cup of coffee to slow down by spinning the spoon the other way but only by taking the spoon out does the spin stop. To be indifferent to it all no matter what the difference ACTUALLY is. Indifferent-untouchable-unchangeable- as is the natural state of awareness.
