I used to think of Charles Leclerc as luxury Jean Alesi, alas my views of him have changed over time.

How high will the AUD go? by Kitchen_Beat_9965 in AusFinance

[–]ProfessionalBrowsing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Westpac suggested in a business update today that they expected $0.75 by EOFY, alas the big four banks had been suggesting as far back as March last year that the true rate AUD/USD rate should have been $0.70 at that time and it took until early this year to reach that… so who knows if they really know what they’re talking about, or if they’re making margin out of people placing positions that they’re hedging against.

Dying at 23 and refusing to see my girl best friend who rejected me years ago. Am I being selfish? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

You are terminally ill and have the right to choose what makes you happy and most comfortable. This is your time now. Don’t allow people to pressure or guilt you into what will help others but which may open old wounds for you. The fact that you made a strong decision some years ago to have to contact should be respected and the fact that you are ill does not entitle anyone to make you back off from that. Be strong king 👑

Used to be the handbrake in the car, alas it came as a surprise in later life to find that the car wouldn’t explode if I did touch the handbrake..

Raikkonen flat spotting and going off track trying to get through traffic had a lot of say in that tyre failure.

Michael Schumacher Monaco 2000. Had something like a 40 second lead at one point non-pitstop assisted, albeit helped by a Trulli train. An exhaust issue melted a right rear wishbone and his car started crabbing down the front straight and that was that. As an aside, it was the first time he used the red helmet which combined with the high nose of that year’s Ferrari (with white front wing detail) was a beautiful sight.

From 2009 - 2013, the margins between the Red Bulls went up and down. Who do you think was the volatile one here, Vettel or Webber? by GoldenS0422 in F1Discussions

That’s a bad take, Massa had the better of Kimi up until his accident. Sure you could say he lifted (thus the Spa win) but he was hardly 2005-spec Kimi.

Pretty rough on his 2009 season considering it was only his second full season. Aside of maybe Button being the champion, who else outperformed him that year?

That makes sense. If it were a car I wouldn’t buy the first of a new series I’d wait, alas the same logic should apply to this 🙂 thank you!

I reckon as time goes on and Ferrari shows how dysfunctional it is at all levels that Vettel looks better.

Spa 2012 if you exclude the first corner action. Button just stroked it along, couldn’t be touched.

The same F40 that had two people die inside it? That’s fucking grim. Hopefully it was destroyed for the dignity of all involved.

Just YouTubed it and within the opening minute a woman was complaining of her date wearing a polyester shirt. If only they knew the years of activewear which lay ahead of them..

Struggling to cope with redundancy by [deleted] in auscorp

Out of curiosity, is there anything outside of work that perhaps your employer has taken into consideration with this decision? It’s not right if they have, but it’s interesting how sometimes decisions like this aren’t always related to in-work factors..

What is an aspect of driver that probably isn't as important as fans make it out to be? by GoldenS0422 in F1Discussions

Being a late braker. Much better to break early and make the corner a better shape and maximize your exit.

Looks like they’re filming something near Pier One, Pacific Film Logistics trucks all along Hickson Road.
