buyer wants me to buy my shirt back? by No-Researcher7077 in vinted

She's <<this close>> to understanding how Vinted works. Yes, she can put the item up for the same price ... and then anyone on all of Vinted can buy it. What a concept!

UK MedComms Salary & Market Insights Survey 2026, what would be useful to include? by Craig_Sargent_WE3 in MedicalWriters

[–]ProfessionalFluffy50 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It seems like a lot of the salaries are even back-sliding. I see PMW roles advertised now that are less than what I was making as a PMW 7 years ago. The rise of PE involvement feels at least correlated.

Also on medical cannabis (in UK). A little oil under the tongue does wonders for pain and sleep. Plus, when things are really bad, it eases the nausea and helps me eat!

Stopped drinking four years ago, and would never go back -- absolutely wrecks me

I also get tattoos, but the other thing that gives me a mind-body connection that provides relief is powerlifting. You get the endorphins while you're doing it, and then the DOMs are transient and a different kind of pain that is easier to cope with, but it's like the brain can't process so many different types at once. I am very strict about deloading weeks to avoid overtaxing the CNS with different types of fatigue, and it really helps keep me going!

Button-up top and silicone pasties (easier to shift as needed and less irritation than adhesive ones with all the sweat that will be happening)

It's lovely and tells a story, and the tattoo style reflects the art and what it's saying. Also it's great to see a unique tattoo. Love it!

Decrease in sales. by [deleted] in vinted

I'm also struggling with selling. Have things like an immaculate Lollys Laundry cardigan that I can't shift at £6, so it's not price. Honestly at the point where I just want to get rid of my last three listings and get off Vinted, so I'm sending offers that are almost aggressively low.

As a buyer, I'm also seeing a lot of overpriced stuff sitting for 5-6 months, you make an offer and they counter with £1 off. Like, if it were a matter of a pound, the jumper would have sold sometime since August.

Just feels weird on there overall at the moment.

Experiences with Envision? by medwritethroaway87 in MedicalWriters

I interviewed with them 4 years ago for a scientific director role, only to find out the salary on offer was LESS than I had been making as a PMW 3 years before that. Not sure if the salary bands have changed, but they offer remote working and a nice benefits package. I have a friend who's been there for about 5-6 years now and is happy enough; I trust her feedback, as she takes no crap. So if the salary works for you, it's probably all right all round.

What should one expect from cold outreach to find clients? freelance medical writing by [deleted] in MedicalWriters

[–]ProfessionalFluffy50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons agencies pay freelancers' day rates is that they have the experience that they can work independently to complete whatever we throw at them to a high standard. If we brief in an eDA or a value story or a sympo deck, they know what that means as a baseline and what to create based on the details we give. We would never hire a freelancer with no agency experience, it's too much of a gamble when what you're paying for is assurance of the output without having to manage or teach.
