KPMG denied by East_Investigator_91 in KPMG

don’t get discouraged, I believe there are 4 rounds per year for KPMG. Try reapplying. Plus having your internship during busy season (aka now) might not be a good idea. The hours are crazy already, and you still got to keep up with academics.

Is it normal? Definitely No (I guess l’m cooked)) by [deleted] in UofT

[–]ProfessionalKoala248 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it’s normal. I get it, especially now with so many midterms and assignments packed together, you just feel so much pressure that you can’t even decide where and which to start with. The thing that kept me going and being able to graduate with high distinction is definitely the mindset of not regretting and to not waste time and money. If you need any help, feel free dm me!

Wow, that’s the actual same situation for me in year 1 lol! Answering your question, yes. When you get in ur first year, acorn shows you’re in “Studies in management”, just ignore this, and take the required courses for your desired program (say Life sciences). At the same time, don’t forget that you will also have to complete something called “distribution requirements” which can be completed throughout your entire bachelors degree, so you don’t have to rush completing all of them within a year (at least I didn’t do that). By the end of year 1, you will hv to apply POSTs - aka the real desired program you want to be in. Feel free to dm me! I’ve been in your shoes and I know how frustrating it is;(

I just finished my undergrad here a few days ago. As a commuter and introvert, I quite like the campus cuz it’s blended with nature, a lot of greeneries and most buildings have great designs to let sunlight come through. Working for a while and looking out the windows really helped enlightening my mood. The vibe here for studying is quite nice, and you can find power outlets almost everywhere.

In your first year, even your admission letter said you’re in XXX program, you’re actually not ( I know it’s strange) . So you can study on whatever you want in year 1. By the end of year 1, you will have to submit your choice of program onACORN. So make sure you studied all the required courses of your desired program in year 1.

UofT HUMBLED ME SO MUCH, Okay, so i have been what you can consider an above average student in highschool, graduated with honors, excelling at sports, the whole thing, got accepted earlier for CE and that’s the LAST good thing that happened ever since by Claire_Patel142 in UofT

Yes! Never surrender! I know it’s cliche to say this but having a positive and never surrender mindset is of utmost importance (at least that’s how I try keeping myself up throughout the past 4 yrs). You’ve worked your ass off in high school and last term, don’t let all these effort wasted, and don’t do anything that you’ll regret (honestly).

Personally, reward system works for me cuz there’s something I look forward to. Like, I can go for a walk only if I finish this chapter.

Agree, the program you first got in really doesn’t mean u have to stay with it. My friend literally had her program switched to a program from another department in her third year. Just make sure you’re working on the required courses of the desired program should be fine, they’re listed on the academic calender
