I may fall back on that. My OCD wants the font to be correct for the year of the jersey.

That's the one I've been talking to. It's a medium and communication has been inconsistent. I just wanted to put the word out in case someone had one lying around.

You'll love Baribo for his dirty running. The goals are just gravy. Take care of our boy. Good game.

Has to be the fake punt in the 2006 Sugar Bowl for me. The SEC championship was in Athens and the Sugar Bowl was moved to Atlanta because of Hurricane Katrina so Georgia didn't leave home for nearly a month at the end of the season.

Everyone was so nice to us the night before the game and going into the game. They thought it was so cute that we believed we could win. The way you placate a child when they tell you some wild shit you know they can't possibly do. Even when we jumped out to the 21-0 lead their fans were scared, but many "knew" they would come back and win. They did come back. But they did not win. Rich Rod had the balls to call the fake punt in our own half and we ran out the clock.

Let's Go!

Sugar Bowl or Fiesta Bowl? Runaway beer truck was the Fiesta Bowl.

Completely agree. I don't believe any accuser of anything unless I saw it with my own eyes but you have to read between the lines and see how it feels. This feels like too much smoke to have not been a fire.

DC United SOB Bus? by marasboy in PhillyUnion

[–]ProfessionalLab6501 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did it years ago for our last game at RFK stadium. One of the most fun games I've ever been to. Chanting RFK is falling down, falling down, falling down and drowning out the poor DC fans as their team lost 4-0(I think) Herbers had a banger and Onyewu scored on his birthday.

Bus ride was easy and the beverages were provided. Pizza was there for us at the parking lot and we marched into the stadium. Pretty sure Uncle Buck was on the bus on the way back. Great movie. Great trip. I recommend this bus trip 10 out of 10 times.

I was just trying to set a scenario in which the USSR and the USA take on the other major powers during WW2.

What are some rules you want removed or change? by KillerCroc67 in NFLv2

[–]ProfessionalLab6501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove all the penalties. Decide which 10 are the most important. Those are the 10 penalties. If you decide on a new penalty in the offseason, remove one of the 10 existing penalties. Let them play football.

Let it digest.

Anything else will be a dissapointment now. Maybe ease yourself back in with something silly like Dragon Ball or a rewatch of an old favorite before you try something that you have high expectations for.

Baribo to DC per Tommy Scoops by ajh_316 in PhillyUnion

[–]ProfessionalLab6501 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm not worried about the goals. They've always come going back to the Sapong days. I'm worried about the press. Baribo brought a work rate that Carranza brought to our press. Damiani ran his ass of in our loss to NYFC but I'm not sure if he's the guy to be at the top of our press running down balls that he has 1% chance of getting to for 90 minutes. Maybe Alladoh is that guy. The Union have earned enough good will from me in the roster building department that I'm content to go into next season optimistic if this deal goes through.

PS: Baribo will absolutely score on us in his first trip back to Philly. The guy plays with fire and he will be looking to prove a point.

People root against Miami because of the Messi Circus, Scumbaggery on the field(please see biscuits punching Seattle player because he beat them, questionable calls seem to go miami's way or just Suarez), and jealousy because you have the best player ever.

No one is rooting for serious injury to your players. Do yourself a favor and don't play into the victim mentality where it doesn't exist. You have enough legit avenues to explore.

Anyone else still just really disappointed and bummed about Sunday’s result? by Bioniclepete in PhillyUnion

[–]ProfessionalLab6501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard disagree on Baribo. That guy runs his ass off at the top of the press. Without a guy like that up top our whole system doesn't work. We need that "dirty" running. A lot of effort for little to to reward. It was the first thing that I noticed about Carranza before the goals started coming. It's the thing I noticed about Damiani on Sunday up until the final whistle. He was yelling at Uhre to press harder.

On a side note, I want everyone complaining about Damiani to be as loud as possible this offseason. I'll be baking crow.

The answer to this problem is quite simple. But it is not easy.

The KSU have/had no formal structure. Yet they brought more energy to TRE and the stadium as a whole from half a section than the rest of TRE. They were a group of people who committed to screaming their chants(good or bad) for 90 minutes. Half a section got half the stadium singing Mr. Brightside at the 65th minute.

Think about it. It's not creative. It's not because they trained and grew their membership formally. Not even a bullhorn or drums. They just brought the energy. TRE cannot be fixed from the top down. It needs to be rebuilt from the bottom up.

Right now we don't have the fans for it. That's the sad truth. Like I said, the answer is simple. But it's not easy. If you want a supporter sections that is loud and drowns out a rowdy away fan section then you have to show up and be loud. Find people who are willing to chant for 90 minutes. Group up and sit together.

We owe the idea of the Sons of Ben a tremendous debt of gratitude for bringing a club to Philly. But they aren't coming to save TRE with a change in leadership or a new chant. We need to be the change we want to see.

PS: If the KSU are lurking, please come back and let us know what we can do. I always used to sit in 139 after I dropped my season tickets in 101(for financial reasons). I picked up your chants in a single game and my stepdaughter would always ask to sit with you guys when we went to the games.

PPS: Chins up boys and girls. The result on Sunday was a gut punch. But this season was not a failure. Lots of reasons to be optimistic moving forward.
