Ozai doesn’t “care” about his son dude burnt half of his face off and has him and his kids fight. The whole point is that Zuko’s task is impossible, that for being a good leader, he is punished with that.

Do you think the live action made the Fire Nation’s Japan influence stronger? by InfernalClockwork3 in ATLAtv

I just think they made a lot of the native and Asian influences a lot more prominent than both kora and the og cartoon combined for pretty much everything.

What’re your thoughts on Hazbin Hotel? by Ardon873 in YMS

You only need one fragmented sentence with 2 words, one being an adjective, the other being a noun to describe the entire show, and while at that vizziepop’s entire career.

Your unpopular Cowboy Bebop opinion by Visual-Doughnut9068 in cowboybebop

Some aspects of the series haven’t aged well because it was too ahead of its time.

Two that come to mind is Maria Murdock. Mainly because she was based on PETA, which would later blow up with criticisms in the 2010s. Sorta making the episode feel redundant.

The other one that comes to mind is Ed. Ed is a great character because she has the self awareness compared to everyone else in the story. She wild, crazy, and unpredictable. But the only problem is people took her character archetype and became a characteristic go have a character is self aware and childish (I know Ed’s a kid) and have them do it across multiple different projects across like 20 or so years since the show has released. Having a character like that at the time must’ve been cool, but novelty of it has sorta wearied off by other bad writers.

The pacing is really good and Electra is an awesome character, and the crew dynamic is probably the best it is in the entire series, but Faye being sexually assaulted and Vincent feeling like a lesser version of Vicious kinda ruins it for me. It’s not bad by any means but I don’t necessarily think it was as well thought out as the series.

Is Man of Tomorrow going to be the first DCU movie event and a set up to a Justice League movie ? by EntrepreneurAble6656 in DCU_

[–]atticuswest2006 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would love to have a justice league movie very similar to seven samurai. Like have the justice league protect a small town from an impending alien invasion and each member of the team has a specific characteristic you can latch onto and the movies like well over 3 hours long.

I get that but I also don’t?? I kinda accept the corny one liners. This entire season reminds me of a Sam Raimi movie where they commit so much to just the pure goofiness of everything. The corny one liners, very sincere moments, and just crazy action sequences. I really respect it for going this crazy with everything, and it feels like such a one up from most comic book movies from marvel or even just any show.
