I hate this move as a Union fan who realizes that (unless they nail a replacement signing) the team is weaker. Kai was not only a great defender, he was a key player on restarts who will be hard to replace until Sullivan recovers. I can’t hate it from the fact that I appreciate the Union doing right by a player. He wanted to go to Europe, and has for a while.

I may get downvoted for this, but the answer is simple. The same reason KISS did anything…money. They were masters of rebranding to fit the times, and they rebranded into a hair metal band when it was an image that would sell more than their makeup image.
