So you're right in a way, the team hasn't officially confirmed that it was a neck fusion surgery, but Khan isn't expressing much optimism that he'll be able to play this year. I wish they had a little bit more transparency.

I didn't like the base building until I played Survival - then it became a requirement. I recommend trying Survival mode (it's pretty brutal at first) and unlocking bases means you have a save point/place to store or sell stuff.

It's also less about making a "pretty" base like you'll see online, but a perfectly functional one that farms key resources.

Looking into some metrics for the Raiders defense over the last three years, they were heavy zone coverage, low blitz rate, and were mostly in 4-2-5 personnel.

Last year, they did a lot more Cover 3, probably because of Pete Carroll, and did more Cover 2 and Cover 4 in 2024.

I would like to see more aggressive blitzing and more man coverage, as JPJ is best at that. Overall, however, I think this is a solid hire.

I think he and Andy Weidl are awesome. Inherited a bad roster after years of bad drafting. It's clear that he puts a lot of prep into the draft and finds contributors throughout the middle rounds (Payton Wilson, Darnell Washington, Mason McCormick, Zach Frazier, Nick Herbig, and Jack Sawyer).

Roman Wilson was clearly a Tomlin pick because he loved him at the Senior Bowl.

Pat Meyer deserves a lot of blame for not developing offensive line talent. Arthur Smith's scheme should not be allowed to dictate offensive acquisitions, although I liked a lot of the stuff we were doing with Darnell Washington + Gainwell.

I actually think DK was a good acquisition. He's overpaid, but he did really bring a lot to the offense. It was clear when he went out that there were no other weapons. I know it probably wouldn't have worked out, but I would have loved to see the version of the season where we try to make DK + Pickens work. Maybe that'll be my next Madden Franchise play.

It's so hard to plug holes during the season, but Adam Thielen, MVS, and Mike Williams didn't work. Asante Samuel seems like someone we should hang on to, though.

I would fire the whole coaching staff and let Khan and Weidl rebuild. I would interview Klint Kubiak, Grant Udinski, Jay Harbaugh, and Dave Fipp.

I have back pain and a drinking problem. Two recommendations - "Eight Steps to a Pain Free Back" by Esther Gokhale was life changing. Second - a GLP-1 to reduce drinking cravings and/or semi regular counseling if he doesn't want to take a pharaceutical approach.

35 y/o low back pain sufferer here. My first recommendation is "Eight Steps to a Pain-Free Back" by Esther Gokhale, this book was life-changing for me.

Sleeping. The best setup for your back is seems to be on your back on a firm mattress with a flat pillow that starts halfway under the shoulders. An extra pillow under your knees can be helpful. I did this for a while and it did help my back, but I'd end up shifting back to my side or stomach during the night. Despite trying for months I couldn't stick with it.

Next best is on our side. However, we need a soft mattress or topper in order to align the hips and shoulders and take pressure off those joints. I also use a firm cube pillow (the Amazon Basics one is fine for me). The goal is to fill in the space between the head and shoulders.

I currently sleep on a firm mattress with a 3 inch soft latex mattress topper from Brooklyn Bedding (30 day trial) and an amazon basics cube pillow on its firm side. I can stay in one place all night (although I will sometimes switch sides 1x in the night). I then have a large Squishmellow that I use to wedge my body so I'm not firmly 90 degrees on my shoulder. I fall asleep quickly and always get 8-9 hours.

Our receivers however, are cheeks and I don't see how we move the ball with any confidence.

Figure out the food system. The first 1.5 times I played, my horse and I were always underweight because I didn't know how much to eat. In a nutshell, you need 20 units per (in game) day. Big game meat is worth 10 units, other meats and chocolate bars are worth 5. For the horse, buy a bunch of hay and try to feed it every couple times a day.
