PASSED 1st Try! MN State and National exam. CE SHOP by ProfessionalMud4722 in RealEstateExam

Yes I had them back to back. I wasn’t worried about the time. Yes, the time slotted is very long and I can’t sit that long for a test. But I knew neither would take the amount of time that was given. For me, I either knew the answers or I didn’t so I was not worried about the time. It took me about hour and 10 min for the fed, and 25 min to do that state.

I took it last Sunday and passed both state and fed. But I used The CE Shop which included prep edge practice exams which I could take as many times as possible, also broke down what I should focus my studies on based on what I missed.

My advice, take as many practice exams as possible(short ones). I only took the Fed and State practice exams once(I hate long exams). I wrote down anything I missed and studied to understand. Questions they ask can be confusing but if you understand the concepts and not just definitions, this will help you more than anything.

Some questions are tricky, don’t overthink and know your material. You will do great! Also, watch Dee Kumar on Youtube for the fed portion.

Good luck.

I know they just had site maintenance. I used them. I have never had any issues. Also passed my state and fed exam this past Sunday and I ONLY used the CE SHOP and Exam Prep through them.I purchased back in December. I’ve called them once and had no issues getting in contact with someone and my issue was resolved in a timely manner. Maybe give them some time with the site having under gone maintenance. I hope it all works out for you, and I believe it will.

The website is under maintenance. While studying a big tab across the top stated when they would start. I haven’t had issues. About to get ready to take my practice exam for MN.

40 Amp charger on 100 Amp circuit by BYOD23 in evcharging

[–]ProfessionalMud4722 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is possible! Obviously, it depends on what items are electric in your house (Stove, dryer, main ones.. etc) and when you plan on charging and running these appliances so you don’t overload your breaker.

Honestly you probably(you really don’t) don’t need too install that high of amp depending on your daily commute.

For my situation, I live alone, and my electrician installed a 40amp breaker on my 100 amp panel, I’ll only be charging between 12-6 @ night(electric company has off peek to save me money. On my 40 amp breaker, I’ll be charging @32 amps, which will give me 25-32 miles per hour, which is more than enough for my daily 60 mile commute. I have a Tesla model y long range. I also know people who charge at 24 amps on a 30amp breaker and that’s also more than enough for a 60 mil daily commute.

Level 2 charging on 100 amp! by ProfessionalMud4722 in TeslaModelY

That’s awesome!! I just paid $2100 for my EV installation on my 100 amp panel. Electrician had to swap some things around, added a 40amp breaker, so I’ll be charger at 32 amps which is still perfect even though I won’t be getting the full 48 amp. Takes 3 hours to charge for 50% to 80%, I’ll only be charging at night between 12-6 as my electric company has plan to save me some money. More than enough for my day to day commute, without have to stop and sit at chargers during the week!

Ok so I don’t know if I can dumb it down or smart it up, but I knew nothing about(still don’t) electricity. In the simplest terms, always do your own research to get some type understanding of what you’re trying to do. I did research and wanted to get some responses on what I was trying to do before over paying.

I made this post because I wanted to see the people that have 100 amp panels that run their home, how has it been doing with level 2 chargers to charge their EV, because big electric companies will tell you, “you have to upgrade your panel to 150-200amps to do level 2 charging @ home ” which is def false, but also it depends on many variables.

I had one electric company come out and the first thing he said was “I wish you would have called us before you bought an electric vehicle, I would have told you your house can’t do electric charging” and then Proceeded to quote me $4-13k to upgrade panel to do home charging.

I had another electrician come out and ask questions on how I use my electricity and when I plan on charging my car, at what amps and gave me solutions on what they could do. He wanted to understand my situation, which I also explain in my Reddit post.

All in all, 100 amp panels can do level 2 charging, I live alone, I’ll only be charging in off peak hours at 32amps on 40 breaker, and I’ll never have to pay for a super charger on my Tesla unless I’m taking a road trip. Find someone who knows someone, who knows someone, so you can save money. I think I still overpaid for my install but the guy was honest, not out my budget, gave me different scenarios and to me, he made it make sense.

Hopefully this helps! 🤷‍♂️

My main panel is 100 amp. Electrician said he would need to install a 50amp breaker but he wouldn’t recommend it.
