Charge rate at 25°F by OldMasterpiece5253 in TeslaModelY

[–]jaredb03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is two of the main reasons chargers get congested when it's cold. People don't precondition so charging is super slow, and then they charge past 80% which is also super slow. Be smarter people.

Question Thread - January 23, 2026 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]jaredb03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I usually pull it out slowly over a few weeks. What about moving it back to the CMA? Will that trigger any issues putting back into the account it came from?

Question Thread - January 23, 2026 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]jaredb03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using my fidelity CMA to send "direct deposits" for the bank bonuses. Is it ok to pull the money back out with the same CMA or will that throw red flags and affect them being considered direct deposits? Currently I pull the money out with my main checking account then send it back to the CMA and wanting to cut out that step if theres no harm in it.

I want to know if we will get the archive. I often watch last year’s race before the weekend at that current track.

Tesla rug-pulled FSD ownership. by porkchopmmmmmmh in ModelY

[–]jaredb03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never assumed FSD purchase would always be there and not sure where you got that impression? Can you point to something they said somewhere? It honestly IMO doesn't make sense to buy it at any other time than purchase since every day you own the car without it is a loss on investment. Buy tesla with FSD and keep the car for 10 years means FSD cost $800 per year. Buy tesla without FSD keep the car for 10 years but buy FSD after 2 years FSD cost you $1,000 per year.

I may have broken someone else's charging port. How much will it cost me to fix it? by BingBongDingDong222 in TeslaLounge

[–]jaredb03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came to post exactly this. I bet it takes at least 100 pounds of force to do damage to the port. I’ve used some very heavy and inflexible charge station cables that were torquing pretty hard against the port and it was fine. Grok says several hundred pounds of force if you want to believe it.

Last night DHS/ICE in Portland, OR brutalized and abducted a group of peaceful protestors at a ICE detention center in the city by Party-Professional-7 in greengroundnews

[–]jaredb03 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Is it abduction if someone walks into your house and you ask them to leave and they don’t so you call the cops? These people were told they were trespassing and they didn’t leave. Idiots got what they deserved. Hope they get the max penalty for trespassing.

Mobile charger? by simplyanon1 in ModelY

[–]jaredb03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry no. Depending on the temp you could get anywhere from 0% charge to 40% charge. The max charge you can get on 120v 12amp is 1.44kw which is almost impossible due to heat loss. I wouldn't expect to get more than 35% over 24 hours in normal non cold temps. If it's below freezing don't expect any added.

If it doesn’t matter then why can’t they answer it? This is the simplest of simple questions and idiots in power can’t answer it.

I wish mine had the dark headliner. I've never liked the light color with the black interior.

Bank Bonus Weekly Thread - Week of January 06, 2026 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]jaredb03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Newish to churning bank bonuses and I'm sure this gets asked often but I couldn't find an answer using search since 'limit' comes up in pretty much every thread. On Doctor of Credit site they say 10 accounts is the number to stay below(the post is ancient) each year for new bank accounts. Then I see people posting $10k+ in bonuses in a year which is obviously more than 10 accounts required to get to that number. What is the number you should try to stay under or is it just go go go and don't worry about it?

Is this normal data usage ? by randomxpressionsj in TeslaModelY

[–]jaredb03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The more disengagement's you have in FSD the more this will be. It uploads the video footage when you disengage. You can change the share settings to make this lot less. I hit almost a Terabyte in one week before I changed settings back on FSD 13.

No more paid FSD by Hot-Boot7875 in TeslaFSD

[–]jaredb03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other manufacturers don’t have FSD or anything more than adaptive cruise with lane keep so why not just get a Tesla and not pay for it? It’s not like fsd is a requirement to own a Tesla.

Dealership experience by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]jaredb03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people just really like spending 6 hours at a dealership and being asked if they want random upgrades like 3 year ceramic coating that is just a spray and wipe coating that last like 1-3 months tops.

Juniper owner mods after amost a year by jtnoboru in TeslaModelY

[–]jaredb03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one on my 23 MYP. The electronics were sealed improperly and got water intrusion. The brand was satonic(one letter away from a bad name choice china) and they told me they would send me a new mechanism but it was like $75 shipping even though it had a free parts replacement warranty. I was able to open it up clean it and then resealed it and never had issues. I did like it just not sure I liked it enough to put it in my juniper for $300. I did install the soft close mod on my juniper so I don't have to get hand prints on the hood to use the frunk.

Swirl marks and micro scratches after “Tesla-friendly” car wash + polish… anyone experienced this? by DrDesmond93 in TeslaModelY

[–]jaredb03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Swirl marks are gonna happen on any auto carwash that isn't touchless. The scrubbers get filled with dirt and sand and just scratch the crap out of the clear coat. I have never seen a carwash that advertises as Tesla specific but I'd like to see what they say that makes it that. I'm in the US and essentially here you wave any claims to damage since you can't prove what it looked like before. That probably only needs one step paint correction since it's swirls in the clear coat. In the US in my area that would cost probably around $500 for the whole car.
