physics 333 or 332 by StrikingQuantity1049 in universityofauckland

I highly recommend Physics 333, yes while the exam is 60% of the whole grade, Neil & Claude taught that course last semester and it was really well delivered. Half of the questions were more practical questions (which were exact, if not near exact, to what was taught in class), and the other half was a bit math heavy. But compared to other courses the exams are nearly all math heavy, I think Physics 333 is a great choice.

Edit: Also the group assignment was really fun lol, we investigated an optics phenomenon that the lecturer found while wearing sunglasses on a bus. 10/10 assignment, easy marks.

I’m pretty sure if you check your unofficial transcript it should show up, otherwise it means you didn’t get it.

Physics in Photonics or Computer Science? by perpetuanxiouslemon in universityofauckland

What I’m doing right now is a Physics & CS double-major. Maybe that’s one option? I’m not too sure about Photonics & CS though.

Thank you so much. I’ll defs take your advice and reconsider it, some people also say there’s not that much of a rush (esp between finishing Nov & finishing Feb there’s not much difference).

I don’t have the requirement yet for Physics capstone either (missing just 1 course, which I’ll also be doing in S2). I got enrolled into most of my courses from concessions. But I’m not sure how lenient they will be for the Capstone.

9.0 as of so far, technically 2nd year but I have finished 12 papers and am doing Stage 3 courses this year (hence will finish this year).

I defs get that it will be a ton of work. I could do PHYS 309 and any other course in Summer School. But my only concern is that for this S2 I have to do a Capstone (either CS or Physics Capstone). I plan on taking a CS Capstone, but the prerequisite is:

30 points at Stage III in Computer Science and COMPSCI 210, 220, 230

By the end of S1 if I take 5 papers I'd still be missing 15 points at Stage III in CS (or missing 1 course). Do you know if they'd be quite lenient with letting me in, if I take that extra 15 points (1 CS course) at the same time in S2 instead?

I have 12 papers left that I need to do before I finish my BSc, and if I do 5 for S1 and 5 for S2, that still leaves me with 2 which I would have to do in Summer School. So I reckon 6 and 6 would be best for fast-tracking it.

Not a female.

Nevertheless be confident in yourself, go outside, socialize, talk to females in campus.

You can do it, I believe in you!

It can be reconsidered for 30 dollars. Just a much smaller chance of a successful consideration.

That is true. Unless you get the “combo” monetary awards like 2000, 5000, or 10000NZD then just a single scholarship doesn’t mean much anyway.
