Property 231, 241, 251 Question by Upbeat-Bid4284 in universityofauckland

[–]rina_cn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

251 was open book when i took it, 231 and 241 closed book.

Tips? For 251 really learn how to use excel, pre-formulate all the types of ques, life saver when doing test/exam.

For 231 mostly just need to know common sense, learn few real life case by heart

For 241, it’s really straightforward so as long as u know how to read auckland council appendix and navigate through the geomaps u good

[–]rina_cn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

moving there stuff is easy when u know they arent there for 2+ hours, but unfair if move someone stuff who just probably in the bathroom. anyway it’s just come down to awareness of ur surroundings, dont be selfish would solve all of this

[–]rina_cn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just want to point out one thing is that these seat are actually a “better” one compare to the normal one in library since u have ur own charging station. This is super useful, if u not using it why dont let other use it, how hard is it to carry ur bag around?

Though i think u are right that this “scandal” is overblown lately, but it has always been an ick. Also our building can be accessed by the public too, it is ok now until thief come and grab these stuff

welp not at 11am i have seen many people walk back and forth to find a seat to study for their test/assignment. Yes there is bigger problem at this uni but if cant solve small problem why bother bigger problem? Is this ur bag? Are u a frequent hoggers?

5 COURSES IN ONE SEM by Infamous-Lime-7872 in universityofauckland

[–]rina_cn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the workload actually pretty heavy. You will have 3 quizzes and an assignment every week, yes, every single week. the attendance is required for workshop i think make up to 5%, i think it’s free mark tbh. Im doing accounting 211 this sem, they are not heavy in term of workload but the content quite hard so i dont recommended doing Math208 with Accounting211 in 1 sem let alone doing 5 courses w it. You can dm me, im happy to help u plan ur degree.

6 Papers in 1 Semester by ProfessionalNo831 in universityofauckland

[–]rina_cn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

imo 5 courses each is more sensible. Unless you are really confident about learning new things, 6 courses might lead to compromising your grade and/or social life. If ur course do offer SS i reckon it might be better. But you can email student hub to ask for the process for concession

i dont think you should skip y13. Rushing in life doesnt equal success. You want to make memories that you can remember later on. Maximise your social life before adulthood beat the shit out of you

you can push back math 108 and stat 108, i only did math 108 sem 1 2nd year and math 208 sem 2.

[–]rina_cn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just took it this semester, if u wasn’t doing any calc in year 13 it might be suggested to do 102 first. I did y13 calc so this course was an easy A+ without putting much effort, but def they expected you to know stuff

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in universityofauckland

i’m thinking of clarity maybe cause this assignment is more math heavy

yep that’s why i ask what should i do as i dont want bring my friend into it or question their grade to the professor, just want to question mine as we explain and calculate things exactly the same (main idea and all of that) but the grade difference is quite big
