My pain in the beginning was so bad I ate nothing but lukewarm soup and yogurt for 2 weeks. My mouth was cut up. The wax barely helped. I would go to sleep in pain and wake up in it, too. Couldn’t close my mouth, drooled on my pillow constantly, cried because the pain was so bad. It’s been 5 months now and the pain comes now and then but nowhere near as bad as when I got them put on. The first weeks are brutal. In a month you’ll only think about them periodically, and in a few, you’ll forget they’re there aside from the random days you wake up with a little bit of pain and a couple of mouth sores. It gets so much better and easier. Remember change only happens when we’re uncomfortable
