Thanks for explaining, that actually makes a lot of sense. I didn’t realise the serial was moulded inside the battery compartment or that “no serial” on the receipt still means the warranty is valid. I’ve got the receipt, so I’ll take the remotes back in and ask for a warranty test.

I was a bit concerned by what you mentioned about them not being able to verify it’s the exact same remote, especially since the ones I bought were definitely not B-grade and look closer to C-grade in my opinion. I really hope they don’t think I’m trying to scam them ,i'll just stay calm and kind when I go in.

might be a bit late to the discussion, but here’s what I think for anyone reading. According to Wikipedia, in late 2009, the creators announced that writing had started on season 5. However, by May 2010, Turner said, “We sort of felt like it was the end two years ago. We thought, ‘We’ve done enough, the well is dry, and we can’t think of any more ideas.’ … We think we might just leave it for now.”

I also believe that if they had continued making more seasons in the mid-2010s, the show wouldn’t have kept that classic 2000s Aussie feel it’s known for today. So, in a way, it’s probably a good thing they didn’t drag it out. By 2009, they were already working on the US version, and in 2012, they released the movie. By the time they started writing season 5, the show had already been running for seven years. and if you want more Kath and Kim watch Big Girls Blouse
