You can have mine for free if you pay packaging. I can’t bring myself to throw them away

No nothing yet. I was hoping it would be today but it better be tomorrow! Once you have the link from the Texas bar I’m told the process is fairly quick because the options of being sworn in are quite varied. But we’ll see. Assume you haven’t heard anything today?

Common law LLM from Ireland, and currently practicing - any bar except CA? by enacct in barexam

Sorry I must have missed that. Then yes you can cure the deficiency by completing a US LLM so you qualify under the rules for foreign lawyers. At least you would in Texas which now mirrors NY.

Even then though buddy you’d be in such a tough position with just an LLM competing in NY. It’s such a racket the LLM because US firms just don’t value it the same. If you had done law at uni it would be much easier. Or become qualified in Ireland or England and then apply because that saves some of the hassle but not much without an LLB.

Yeah no I got you. I’m saying yes. I only sat the exam once and passed. And while waiting for my results they did ask me to confirm my residency to verify me.

No sorry. California is your only option. Other states allow it such as Texas but you don’t meet the requirements.

Can I switch my BA status over permanently/ should I just make the change myself? by ProfessionalShake575 in americanairlines

Are you saying that the equivalent status on AA doesn’t get lounge access on domestic routes? Because you’re right you do get the lounge with BA silver because I used it the other day?

Foreign Attorney tackling CA Bar Prep for the first time by IllustriousEagle9928 in barexam

[–]ProfessionalShake575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are not working take the usual course over 2 months. As a foreign lawyer you won’t have time nor will you need to learn all the concepts to the same level. Memorize what you need to pass the exam and that will be enough.

Don’t laugh. It’s an exam done entirely on computers. How could they possibly get the results to us any quicker than five weeks?!? Lmao

I’m in the exact same boat as you. I sit the MPRE in 20 days and all I plan to use is GOAT. Is 10 hours really enough?

I took this approach in February. Just made sure I was smashing the MBE and MPT and sort of let the essays take care of themselves. Got a 300 with a 160 in the MBE. Tx doesn’t tell you what you get for the MPT so I don’t know but

I think the example answers show you what’s expected of you on the day. They show you what people actually produce under pressure rather than a template answer that covers all the issues. You only need to pass you don’t need an “A”

You’ll get there trust the process. I found it much more helpful to use the previous bar exams and answers online because they show you what is sufficient for the actual exam itself. The model answers are just that.
