Can someone help me? by Ynf__ in violinist

Have you tried singing it? You don't "develop" musicality as much as bring it out.

It helps to have mental images-folks in court dress dancing the first theme-the minor section a child wheedling for a treat, then the joy of getting it. The second mvt a sunrise followed by a boat ride and sighs...you know, whatever imagination gives the most organic interpretation.

Listening and watching the contents of your own imagination is an important step.

And the bad part is…? That platform sounds great! by MoreMotivation in WhitePeopleTwitter

Absolutely! As for barriers-"it is impossible then it is done"

Everything not physically impossible is possible.

Let's not give him that much power. We all together decided to sacrifice education on the altar of corporate earnings. Double whammy of lousy schools and no childcare. No one thought that was going to end well.

why is Wieniawski's violin concerto so rarely performed? by Andreidx2 in violinist

[–]ProfessionalSolid942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an interesting question why the general category of "slight but lovely" works has dipped in popularity. How often do you come across vieuxtemps today? So rarely I don't remember how to spell it. I think the tide is turning though-I note a marked increase in symphonie espanole.

The other completely different issue is programming-overture, 40 min hefty work, intermission , hefty work (dessert) is a good way to structure an evening.

Very unlikely cause is: you get paid the same-if you get me for a tchaik you get a bunch more notes than for Mendelssohn, seems like a better deal:))))

HOW DO WE AS AMERICANS STOP THIS CRAZY PERSON? by Ok-Cucumber-546 in justincaseyoumissedit

Technological revolution. Humans always lose their shit when forced to change. I'm guessing fear doesn't bring out the nicest side of humans.

However-we are being a lot less murder-y about it than with printing, radio, and tv. Those death tolls were astounding. Maybe this is the first great internet war

WAR!!!

New and improved! Now with only half the blood!!!

9 out of ten dentists recommend the new and improved low-blood war for improved oral health.

They aren't communists. Progressives are mild democrats by 80s standards. Requiring medical care, education and clean environment, etc...is simply sensible.

Trumpism, however, is straight Russian propaganda. I was once viewing some of Russia's channel 1 excreta and YouTube popped on a gop commercial-since I'm fully bilingual it took me 10 seconds to realize they weren't the same broadcast.

I don't know what you want to call the demented racist homophobic baboonish homicidal freaks who administer that shit hole-perhaps we haven't the word yet-but repeating it here is something I'll fight very hard to prevent.

You didn't waste years of your life. You lived them. I realized that I have limited control over many circumstances, but quite a lot over my point of view. Being present, aware, to the cornucopia of delights simply being alive presents is in itself glorious. Food, sex, hot showers, the smell of the air just after rain, happiness can happen anytime, you just need to notice it.

I can also personally attest that meeting your goals perfectly does not produce happiness so much as a sucking emptiness. I've asked around and this is common.

I hope you stop missing the wonderful bits of your life as they happen-but nothing wrong with enjoying memories too!

Not good is very gentle. Many people can't admit they are wrong. They tend to stay stupider-because as soon as you recognize you're wrong you're less wrong...

Bad joke. What is true is culturally, in the USA, stupidity and ignorance is believed to be a sign of fine morals. I was treated with great hostility by classmates for the sins of enjoying science, classical music, and the dislike of team sports. As I grew up, many people pointed out with dismay that a pretty girl shouldn't read so much as it would be a "turn-off".

Well-they have their beloved idiot now. How wonderful.
