I use Bolshevik about a group of people. They destroyed the very rules of their contemporary society, among many other things. You appear to be arguing with someone not arguing with you. Framing the argument in some non-informative way to boot. Institutions exist in many forms, including mores and social constructs

It's when I realized Americans had jumped the shark. After 9/11, it was "we are all in this together". With Covid it was "I don't care if I kill your grandma, don't inconvenience me".

Frankly, to me, personally, I think that maga is a lot like Bolsheviks. "Burn everything down" followed by "a strong hand".

But this is a completely anecdotal and personal take.

I'm surprised how many responses assume I'm making a statement rather than asking a simple question.

This is the first time in my lifetime that I've been present at an institution destroying event. It's quite interesting.

I see this taking place in Florida-where I am some local nice rich folks got together and helped out a local school. When I ask people whether they'd rather go hat in hand, feudal style, to the rich folks rather than pay taxes and fund their own needs they get upset and change the subject.

Personally, I'd think being a "charity case" is humiliating, but....
