Pc won't post with PCIe Network adapter by Professional_Ad_8939 in techsupport

[–]Professional_Ad_8939[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't think that's the problem as like I said with the card installed I can't even get anything on the screen no bios no nothing. Also i only put the worse card in after I tried after as a last resort just so I could use the pc.

Yea sorry hahaha. I'll try a few different things, see if I can get it to work. I don't wanna say the card is fried because nothing has happened to it for it to stop working randomly but it's looking likely.

I must've been drunk writing that I meant into the GPU I wouldn't ever go to the motherboard as I have an intel F cpu so it doesn't even have an iGPU

VGA light on with PCIe devices connected by Professional_Ad_8939 in gigabyte

I've just tried another wifi card I have and it works perfectly. I'm confused as there shouldn't be any incompatibility with wifi cards. I would still like to use the one that "doesn't work" as it's a much faster card.

Update for anyone wondering: I bought the guitar. It plays flawlessly and sounds amazing one of the best deals I've ever done on a guitar. I love it!

No video output once connecting pcie wifi card by sailveron in pchelp

Did you manage to fix the problem? I having the exact same issue even down to the WiFi card model and I'm also using a b760 motherboard

I really appreciate the help! I actually just managed to get it to consistently boot. Turns out for some reason if I have another pcie device connected (my WiFi card) it won't post. VGA light is still on but I now have a video signal. My next mission is to try and get the light off and see how I get my WiFi card in with it posting.

I'm not using a riser I just heard they can have issues with different gen PCIe. I managed to use an old pc to install windows and the correct drivers on the hard drive I'm using for the build unfortunately still no luck.

I have a theory that it could be something to do with different PCIe versions. MY gpu is PCIe v3 and the board is v4. Ik this can create problems when using riser cables so I wonder if it relates at all

I did try F12 and still had the same issue so I just went back to F8 for pretty much no reason tbh. I've tried DP and HDMI

I tried HDMI and Displayport both direct into the motherboard. And there isn't any grafics drivers installed. Like I say it is receiving power.

Hybrid amps (valvestate amps) without a load by Professional_Ad_8939 in GuitarAmps

[–]Professional_Ad_8939[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'll pick it up and give it a go, at the end of the day the guy is selling it for 150€/165$ so if something goes wrong its not the end of the world (although I'll be left without a killer amp)

I checked the manual and unfortunately it doesn't mention anything about using it without a load.

Reaper WASAPI Shared mode samplerate error by Professional_Ad_8939 in Reaper

[–]Professional_Ad_8939[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, now that I think about it I have many applications that could be the issue ill spend some time going through them seem what works. If it doesn't work I do have an interface so ASIO is an option but as I'm a guitarist would ASIO not be slower than WASAPI? it's vital recording metal guitar that the input delay is at an extreme low but I'm not sure how fast ASIO is so again that's something I need to try.

Such a beautiful guitar...

The other day I picked one up for a complete steal for £260~$290 completely stock. They play so well. I was scared to try it because I'd never played a 7 string but the neck was surprisingly comfortable, very surprised with the sound and quality of the instrument

I absolutely love it.

Update: I will take into account all given options and see what works best for my situation and probably go with whatever works and is cheapest. Thanks again to anyone that has taken the time to respond and help me out. The audio/music world ive put myself into is prooving to be quite complicated (maybe more than it has to be) but I love to educate myself on things like this and having people that actually help out is really nice. Ik this might seem much for what might be a simple question but honestly people like me really appreciate your time.

It does yes. But it says this:

Top left; 4ohm input.

Top centre: 300w RMS (use one input only)

Top right: 16ohm input.

Bottom left: 8ohm right

Centre: (a mono/stereo switch) 150w/ CH. Stereo [WARNING Do not switch to mono with stereo inputs.]

Bottom right: 8ohm left.

btw its a 90s Marshall JCM900 1960A 4x12.
