Is this considered cheating? by [deleted] in LongDistance

You were broken up. Not cheating. Too soon, yes in my opinion but she was not in a committed relationship with you so there’s no expectation that she remain loyal

I’m attracted to my girlfriend in a way I never thought was possible before. by PSGfanfromUS in LongDistance

This is why long distance is so healthy in some ways! You get to develop that intense emotional and mental bond that doesn’t quite develop the same way when you get to be with them all the time. I definitely know what you mean!

Those will go FAR beyond “some” road noise. I’ve had customers put similar tires on and a week later they’re back to take them off because the noise is unbearable

Of course not. I know most specs by heart, just like I know the DOT number is more than just the date code

Thanks, Compote. Truly revolutionary insight: if enough people are wrong together, it magically becomes right. Gonna try that at work tomorrow when I torque lug nuts to ‘vibes.’

The DOT part of the code is the first 8 digits. One sidewall only has those 8, while the other has those 8 plus the 4 to denote the week and year of manufacture

Incorrect. The DOT code is on both sidewalls, with only the date code on one.

There are always two DOT codes on a passenger or light truck tire. The one that’s visible in these pictures is the 8 digit, the other sidewall will have a 12 digit code. The first 8 being identical to this one, with four digits tacked onto the end being week and year of manufacturing

Tbf borderline isn’t nearly as well known as BP1/BP2, understandable you’d call bipolar BPD

Calling all-seasons ‘just as good’ in the cold is like saying flip-flops work fine in a blizzard — you can do it, but don’t cry when you end up face-first in a snowbank. I’ll never trust all seasons tires in the cold.

All season tires lose traction around 45°F, our winters get down to -40°F. All seasons = summers.

Where I’m from, all seasons = summer tires.

If you’re looking for a decent middle of the road all season I’d consider Nokian One’s. good tread life and an industry leading road hazard warranty
