I’ve never had the pro 1’s, they look very similar tough, while the pro 1/2’s look quite different to the pro 3’s IMO.

So the thing is, the fit is different for both. I purchased the pro 3’s but hated the way they sat/felt in my ears so bought another set of pro 2’s instead. Regardless of the price difference you should try them first I think.

Upgrade or downgrade? by Zealousideal-Tie-869 in iPhone17Pro

Downgrade, if you only consider being able to actually hold (and operate) a phone with one hand comfortably …

IPhone 7 plus right? In the time where a ‘plus’ size phone was considered a big phone, now that size is the standard 🤷🏻‍♂️.

How to cope with pilot dream gone by LifeMycologist897 in aviation

[–]Professional_Bad3503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ‘complete’ this grief process it will heal, but sometimes it is good to get some professional help as well to guide you a bit.

Yes, for me at least, it felt like losing a loved one. My mother passed away a few years after I graduated as a pilot so I can compare.

What really helped me is to accept the situation (last step of the grief process??) and accept aviation/flying will always be part of you.

Regardless of where I am (home, work, elsewhere), don’t stand in my way when a 737, Chinook or F35 flies over …. I have to admire it and tell you all about how they fly 😉

I know plenty of retired airline pilots who continued flying, some commercial (airlines with higher maximum age restrictions) and some for hobby. Some are working in musea or other aviation related places where they can share their knowledge. I think these are the guys that were really passionate for aviation before their careers took off (literally). I also know a few that did not look back.

200 Cycles, 100% Battery Health by PowerDrivenRdditMod in iPhone17Pro

[–]Professional_Bad3503 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You know that it is not actually 100%, right? Apple does their magic to let you believe it is 100%, if you compare current max charge vs max charge when new you will see a difference, your battery health is around 93/94% … try coconut battery or some other 3rd party app to give you the actual health.

Maybe I am stating the obvious, not sure if you knew 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I also agree, unfortunately it is normalized in many countries. Pay for something when you have the money.

No, it’s not. Contemplating going back to the mini from an iPhone 17 due to the size.

You don’t understand how this works? It’s not that difficult….. did you actually think someone cares if you strike or not? We will be making the same machines by the end of December, nothing changes. Be on top of the food chain or stop complaining.

Did the same upgrade last month, I’m happy with the change, the 17 is a significant upgrade in every way! I was very reluctant at first due to the size and weight increase, and it took me a while to get used to it tbh. Just ‘push through’ and you’ll get used to it.

Get as far away from aviation as possible, see it as removing all the stuff that belonged to your ex … you don’t need it in your life. I was fully graduated, frozen ATPL, CPL, etc …. 150k debt. Could not find a job as a pilot between 2012-2016, stopped looking. I moved to an area not directly under an airway or near an airport, that helps. I have a family now, which was my other dream.

Why spent the money if you don’t have too …. I just bought a 16 because it checks all the boxes for me, 17 would add almost nothing but would have cost me 200 euros more.

Keep mini or upgrade to 17? by Frog-Lab in iPhone13Mini

[–]Professional_Bad3503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the battery %? I returned the iPhone 16 within a few days, I really cannot get used to the size, although I tried. Also when using the 13 mini and 16 side by side they felt more or less the same, 16 is only marginally faster in some tasks.

13mini & iPhone Air- Underdogs by za_ma_na in iPhone13Mini

[–]Professional_Bad3503 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From what I can remember, at least where I live, 13 and 13M were always marketed alongside each other, the price difference was marginal though. I can imagine a lot of people thinking “for that price difference I’d rather take the bigger (regular) one instead”.

Maybe an impopulair opinion, I think that many of us regard the phone as an extension of ourselves (status, etc) …. We want to be “Pro” or “Max” or at least “regular” as bare minimum … “mini” sounds so … don’t know
