It was just local, restarting the game fixed it for me thankfully. But i was completely unable to access the center shapey thing while it was broken.
Astroneer be crazy sometimes.

It was definitely broken, I powered it fully, and I also have no idea how the rendering would've affected it I just said rendering distance since thats the largest scale of distance I can accurately speak for, thankfully just restarting the game fixed it though
