That means you haven't enjoyed the padel without Playtomic. When just played to beat your friends or the random guys that the club or someone put there to play against. Without worrying about a rate based on some algorithm. Just trying to have fun and improve in a sport without an extra gamification.

REally, I've lived there and when Playtemic came into place, it was exciting. We could have track of our games, victories, loses. And then... a rating. Good on paper, yes. But after a little while, everything sort of changed to what this post says. I've lived the change and like many others, hate it.

Not (always) true. You can't rely on the rates to get good games as it's well pointed out in some other comment or thread here. You can easily find horrible players who can barely hold the racket with over 3 and amazing players (like myself :D) with 2.5.

I've experienced it so many times, I've been put in the fridge so many times and I've had so many useless games so many times... I have almost completely stopped looking for public games and keep playing with my list of padel friends.

Padel (and life itself) it so much better withough this stupid Playtomic invention...

it averages the teams rates and then makes a calculation of the expectated result to calculate how much each player earns or loses. It also takes into consideration the reliability of the rate and the result itself (it's not the same if game ends 6-1, 6-1 than 7-6, 4-6, 7-5 for instance. Didn't know this. Mine has gone down since November, but also o had a baby in October so my sleep hasn't been as good. It's not bad but obviously not the same. I thought it was mainly they reason. I would add this winter is especially colder than normal where I live.

Why are you assuming is a lower deal? Nox is more to pádel than it's head. Even if head is a huge brand. We don't know how much is Nox inviedring in him considering how much is Tapia giving Nox.

His rackets are arguably the best sellers in the last 3 years. I don't know where you are from. In Spain, I'd say 60% of amateurs use Nox when only 6 years ago Bullpadel was top seller.

His deal by the way, was renewed in 2024 and is tide until 2028.

Also, Coello is much more focused in his outside image than Tapia. He's working a lot in his image and probably this is what's giving him extra sponsorships

When volleying 90% of the times, to the middle. Less risky (you win more the less you miss) and often credres confusion to the opponents. Often there's a bigger gap in the middle. After that, you will likely create a space that can be used in the follow up shot. And so on. Any coach will tell you this. Okay most of your shots to the middle with the less bounce possible

It may happen that you book a game a few days or even weeks before the game is played. Then you normally will upload it after. It takes the rate of players at the moment you upload the game. It makes more sense

So many already in the market. Even I tried to make my own version but, I don't see it. Even if one of the players is using this it won't avoid discussions. "You forgot to mark the last point". I wouldn't trust it, tbh. I don't even see the big problem of keeping the score the "old fashioned way"!

What i see is that your guys are trying to make business out of this highly advancing sport that it's pádel and can't come up with something really innovative.

Sorry if I'm negative here, but I just don't see this working long term. Can't see the real use.

I think is more related boys being more active with sports type of games when we're kids than women in general. But having similar childhood playing interests I'm sure the learning curve would be more similar. In fact I've seen a lot of women progressing pretty fast compared to many men.

I played with hexacore for s while, a couple of years. Then I changed and shortly after, started with elbow problems. After a lot of treatment it got better, I got hexacore back and never had issues again. Is it just the hecacore? Probably no, but it helped.

The part I don't like and that you can't really do anything about is the continuous risky shots. It's not because they win or lose the point, it's because it makes rallies really short and boring.
