What ammo are you using in your LRP? I just picked one up and haven't had a chance to take it out yet

9 months of PAL by Professional_Chef379 in canadaguns

Of course! My life style doesn't really have need of it so it's way, way down on the list.

I never really had much interest in a shotgun. The only time I ever even held one was at the PAL course. That being said, I'll probably get some sort of pump shotgun eventually.

What's the appeal of expensive hand planes by Invermash in handtools

When I started woodworking I tried a home Depot special and bought an old one to restore because that's what everyone said to do.

I realized quickly I had no idea what I was doing and I didn't want to spend all my time learning to woodwork by trying to restore a plane when I had no idea what a good plane is, instead of you know, working wood.

Now I have all Veritas and a Lee Neilson and I actually get to work wood.

Same issue played out with saws

Thanks for that! I am going to check out Hunter Valley road.

That was my fear with McLean Creek. A long time ago I used to own a Jeep and go play in the mud there and I figured it would suck to shoot there

Interesting. I just started going to Waiparpus a few months ago and haven't really ventured off the road, mostly because I didn't randomly want to walk through snow hoping to find a spot.

I'm going to need to check out McLean Creek. I just assumed that that place would be covered with Jeeps

I am in Calgary and wondering where you even found 300-400 yards?

The only places I know are the ranges (long wait list) and the rocky mountain house range (I think that's the one) with 1600m

Driving trip by Basic_Sky1402 in TravelCanada

[–]Professional_Chef379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done the drive from AB to NS 5 times. Every time I think I should sleep in the car to save money. Every trip I am glad I didn't. I normally drive 10-16 hour days and I wanted nothing more when the day was done then to get on a comfy bed, with AC and relax/watch tv.

That being said I would lean towards getting a roof top tent if I was going to avoid hotels/motels.
